ION Radio 6950 AM 2108 UTC 28 AUG 2025
« on: August 28, 2025, 2108 UTC »
S7 to S10+ signal heard via the Fair Hill, Maryland, SDR with pretty good audio over moderate to high noise levels ...

2107 UTC: I saw the carrier on the air, then music started right at 2107 UTC with "Breathless" by Ringo Starr feat. Billy Strings.
2110 UTC: "Look Up" by Ringo Starr feat. Molly Tuttle.
2113 UTC: "Time On My Hands" by Ringo Starr. Fading is bringing this signal below S7 at times now, but it's still peaking at S10+.
2117 UTC: After a pause, "Tears of Rage" by The Band.
2122 UTC: "To Kingdom Come" by The Band.
2125 UTC: Male voice on the mic: "OK, you just heard Ringo Starr then The Band." That was followed by "In a Station" by The Band.
2129 UTC: ID, and host said introduced the next band, Cornbread, and shouted-out 77LJS down on 6930 USB. That was followed by a lively instrumental song.
2132 UTC: "I'm in Love With You Baby." Shazam's not identifying this one.
2135 UTC: "Are You Ready" (I think that's the title; this one's also not showing up on my app).
2140 UTC: Host talked about the band he's been playing, then gave ID, followed by another lively, funky instrumental.
2144 UTC: Another lively song by the same band, this time with lyrics and blazing harmonica.
2151 UTC: Host mentioned it doesn't surprise him the band's not on Shazam, then HFU shoutouts, and ID. Noise and fading are really increasing now.

Thanks, ION Radio, for this afternoon's music!
