This might sounds funny, but are there any MW stations that, instead of powering down at night or completley signing off, they switch to a different frequency, like what they do on the shortwave?

MW Loggings / WWJZ 640 Signal issue?

This isn't a dx log, but it's weird. My local Disney channel during the day is usually 50kw blaster, but switches to 950 watts at night. Right now it should be at 50kw but I noticed it is unusually weak here and it's only 20 miles away from me. It should be blasting buts only giving me 40 dBu instead of the usual 60+dBu. Guess they didn't switch back to 50kw?

80-85 mHz- free unregulated radio with 250 watts or less
86-92- licenesed non commercial radio at any power
92-108- regular commercial radio

Tell me that couldnt work out somehow...

Logged some Spanish talking, fading in and out but I have NO idea what station it is. Before this I've always the usual hash and mash of random stations but no one over win the battle of who will come out over another. Any help??

If I'm not work they end SW broadcast tomorrow. Let us bid them a farewell because they in my mod were one of the best SW broadcast stations. Their eclectic taste of music ad programming made it worth the wile to stay on SW'ling. what are your voice of Greece memories?

MW Loggings / WOW!! WHKZ 1440 5kw heard in south jersey

Just logged WHKZ. Id Heard clearly- "1440 the word" looked that slogan up and got 1440 the word from Cleveland. I know there is no 1440 the word anywhere near me.

What a catch! Just ID'ed WFMD 930 AM from Fredrick md. I'm in southern New Jersey near Philly so that's about 90-100 miles west of me! It's a 5kw day 2.5 kw watts at night. I don't know if they're running the night pattern yet but I think they are. Also hearing " I won't back down" by Tom petty in the backgrounds from another station.
