Equipment / Re: Collapsible fiberglass pole

Damn Al ! I think I'm still here, but most times I'm not really sure.
millitaryfieldgear.com sells both the metal and fiberglass 4 foot poles in sets of 12 including the storage bag.  I have a very foggy memory of something like the antenna you mentioned. I'll dig around in my mountains of files, papers, notes, books and general piles of junk to see if I have something on that antenna.

At 4:02 UTC can just hear music deep in the noise. Not clear enough to ID. Can hear "Don't You Want Somebody To Love".  "From The Beginning". Then a song by CCR. And now at 4:15 "Gimme Shelter" .

Hearing them here. At 3:23 UTC IDed Radio 97.1 DJ Jeff (or something like that.)  Heavy static with very slight fade. Playing dance music.

IDed again at 3:37 (something) Radio. Too much bass on id to copy thru this noise. Need a soprano id  :-\

OK just heard ID Liquid Radio at 3:48 UTC 1/11/15 6925.2am.

I had a couple of them. Poorly grounded electroshock devices for kids,IMO.

Ironically it wasn't far off the NFL game in those days. No offense and if you managed to make it to the 50 yard line you tried a field goal.

Jan Stenerud and George Blanda would have been proud.

Ha Ha ! I also had one. What a fantastic precursor to Madden NFL.
I remember I thought it was magic - sort of like the first time I heard shortwave on a Knight Kit :)
