Very good on 4030 USB via eastern SDR, Mamas and Papas, Bad Company, etc. Not a peep via home rx.
0213z Aretha Franklin, Rock Steady; Joan Jett, She Hearts RnR, still good via eastern SDR, nothing via home

Since around 0030z or so, decent copy via SDR, Zeke ranting about computer problems, playing AC/DC. No problems with music audio, but between zipper noise when Zeke is on mic, and echo of his own signal in the background, sounds like an open mic picking up a speaker in the studio playing back audio from an SDR. Might try another headset to monitor via SDR.
0056z AC/DC, Arturo Gatti's theme song.
0102z KASS ID

Poor copy via home rx due to regional t-storms, but decent via east coast SDR.

Fair here since 2255z, country music, Ry Cooder. Fadey with heavy local RFI.
2357z SSTV, no copy here
0027z SSTV, after program of Ry Cooder music. Good stuff.
0029z "Goodnight, North America"

Palstar with farm rigged indoor passive loop. Not bad, low noise, but not quite resonant with the funny bands. Needs more coax and a different connector.

0003-0022z Op chatter about call signs, wonky sound card, sent SSTV (no copy here to outdoor portable), playing Led Zep song Kashmir.
0045z Jerry Lee Lewis, You Win Again, chat about the late great killah.

Fair with fading to Sony ICF 2010 on the whip in the backyard. Local RFI lower than usual so far. Some QRM from utes, sounds like OTHR bursts.

Caught the tail end of WWWW, no FM mode on my receiver but could copy ZZ Top "La Grange" and signoff ID.

0245z Allman Brothers, One Way Out from Fillmore live album. I'm Still Standing.

Good signal peaks with deep fades

6865 fair to good via receiver with farm rigged indoor loop.
0200z Rush, New World Man
0212z listener logs and calls from listeners

0120z immediately following Radio Nonsense, IDs for Voice of Hell with Satan Lucifer, backward Led Zep songs
0137z VOH ID with Satan Lucifer, GNR song
0152z sign off ID after live GNR from 1992
0155z "You've been listening to the Old Pirate Relay Service. Happy Halloween, everybody."

Yup, sounded like a recording of classic VoH show from years ago. Great signal!

Another "best signal of the night" so far to the receiver with indoor farm-rigged passive loop. Almost sounds like same tx with different programming.

RFI a little lower after I unplugged the laptop, TV, etc.

0050-0118z several comedy bits, Dracula, People's Court, etc. Closing ID Radio Nonsense.

Best signal of the night so far to the receiver with indoor farm-rigged passive loop. RFI a little lower after I unplugged the laptop, TV, etc.

0350z Booming signal with excellent audio via MD SDR (not a hint here at home, alas). WENO ID, Brian Eno "No One Receiving"
0400z Phil Manzanera, "Rongwrong"
0404z WENO, shortwave to the moon, Alice
0411z more Eno, WENO broadcasting from lower earth orbit.
0421z WENO sign off IDs, Eno, Just Another Day
0423z off. Great show, signal and audio. Wish my home rx had reception like that MD SDR. That particular Kiwi has a V-beam aimed at Europe but apparently has lobes off the back good enough for some US reception, and very quiet.

Recording of last 20 minutes of broadcast. Really good stuff.

Mr. Sycko followed XFM 0145z , 4185 USB.
Fair to good signal through heavy local RFI on the backyard portable. Doors "People are Strange," maybe Peter Murphy?
0236z faded out to the outdoor portable and home receiver, switched to SDR. Very good via east coast SDR, Halloween movie theme music.
0240z Frankenstein, not sure if Edgar Winter Group or other.
0246z Sycko Radio ID and Halloween greetings

0120z Steve Miller, Take the Money and Run
0122z a little smack talk, AC/DC, Moneytalks
0127z Eddie Mahoney has two ticks for a pair of dice

Fair to good signal through heavy local RFI . In the backyard with Sony ICF 2010 on the whip.

0109z Strong signal to the Sony ICF 2010 portable on the whip in the back yard. Op reading through HFU logs. My indoor loop is deaf on this freq, but the portable picking it up fine. Heavy local RFI but signal punching through. Best in sideband, as the Sony AGC is more touchy in AM.
0138z op reading logs, shout-outs to listeners. Doobie  Bros

Listenable in AM sync on the Sony ICF 2010 portable after local RFI quieted a bit.

209
0055z Just barely audible on the indoor receiver/loop antenna until a few moments ago when "Dirty Laundry" peaked above the mush. Gonna try outdoors with portable.
0114z Good signal to outdoor portable, but RFI much worse around 40m band. Tilting whip horizontally helps. Op reading signal reports from listeners.

No joy on 5185, carrier but audio buried under RFI.

4185 working well.

0222z MJ, Thriller. No joy via the home rx, but fair to very good on various SDRs, best via MD SDR with V-beam aimed toward Europe. Presumably some lobes off the back of that antenna picking up some US stations.
0247z During extended MJ Thriller remix, Sycko Radio voice ID, and some kinda data burst that writes the ID in the SDR waterfall. I've seen screencaps of that trick before but this was the first time I've watched it appear while monitoring.
0309z Sycko Radio IDs
0330z Said pre-recorded program they'd planned to air was lost during computer update, so tonight's show was improvised. And off...

Audio good enough that I opened the SDR filter bandwidth to about 3.5, to open up the bass and high end. Sounds great against the very low background QRN via this SDR. My own home receiver can't come close.
