so now that I got the frequencies and dash length straight (LOL) I see three in a row tonight

4095.880 KHz  Viking, fair, with long fades
4096.260 KHz  Hexie, fair, with long fades
4096.360 KHz  Haystack, fair, with long fades

also

2097.300 KHz Letter "A" beacon, strong, 20 dB over the noise on peaks

2097.310 KHz  Letter beacon A, fading signal with peaks up to 20 dB over the noise
7039.300 KHz  Russian letter beacon K, 30 dB over the noise. Sounds distorted, looks distorted on my display
7039.400 KHz  Russian letter beacon M, weak
7509.200 KHz  Russian letter beacon F, weak

Dang, was trolling through the Auroral Chorus site again and saw that I had overlooked the beacon called Haystack:

"HAYSTACK bcn runs 3 sec dash on 4096.35 kHz 24/7 late 2015".  http://www.auroralchorus.com/4096khz3.htm

That must be what I thought was Hexie (which is a shorter dash).

So a summary from their web site:

4095.900 KHz  Coxie, 4 sec dash, day only
4095.940 KHz  Viking, 3.3 sec dash, 24/7
4096.240 KHz  Hexie, 1 sec dash, 24/7
4096.350 KHz  Haystack, 3 sec dash, 24/7
4097.250 KHz  Inyo Whooper, day only


Right now on my waterfall display I can see both Viking and Haystack. It is just possible that Hexie is coming up out of the noise every so often but I think I see a good trace on the Waterfall display.

2097.305 KHz  A letter beacon, fair signal, 15-20 dB over the noise floor, mild fading

The 4 MHz beacons are going through deep fades. On other nights I thought I had seen something new, a dasher around 4096.2 and it is there tonight. Maybe Coxie running high in frequency? Just reread and it was a daytime only beacon.

4096.265 KHz  dasher, new to me
4096.360 KHz  Hexie, weak

4097.100 KHz  Inyo Whooper, fair signal. I think I heard it starting up with a few chirps, then the sweep tone.

I've been camped on the listed Inyo Whooper frquency for a little while and just caught a few "whoops" as it started up pretty low in frequency. If the owner ever wants help with maintenance let me know.....
