No signal audible out here near Seattle. Via Northern Utah SDR, noisy static bursts but a good signal ...

0017 UTC: Sounds like Zeke at the mic as he starts playing another Beach Boys tune.
0019 UTC: "California Girls" by the Beach Boys
0021 UTC: Noise is rising as a Bob Hope Jack Benny comedy bit starts.

We're visiting my in-laws for the first time in months now that they've been vaccinated, so I missed most of tonight's broadcast.

But I just checked at 0535 UTC, and I can hear Redhat talking with a nice signal via the SDR in Weiser, Idaho. Great stereo AM sound as usual! Sounds like he's just winding down for the night with the Johnny Cash version of "Hurt."

I was checking for KGB in San Diego on the frequency when I stumbled on this one, which I first mistook for KGB due to its conservative talk. This one from Denver's north side goes by “Freedom 760” and runs with Fox News, which isn’t KGB’s news network. I later confirmed what I was hearing by matching it via a Colorado SDR.

The signal was fair, but it faded to nothing at times. Presumed KGB could be heard fading in and out in the background. This runs 1 kW at night; distance from me is 1,016 miles.

Listening via NA5B SDR near D.C. ...

2157 UTC: "Evil Woman" by ELO.
2200 UTC: "Livin' Thing" by ELO.

Listening via NA5B SDR near D.C., as it's not making it this far west ...

2154 UTC: Funky pop song (won't come up on Shazam).
2156 UTC: "Rescue Me" (not sure who the band is)
2159 UTC: Off?

306
Hearing this well via Chris' sky-loop SDR. Tried it via NA5B near D.C., where the signal's coming in poorly. No reception out west here.

2200 UTC: "Young Man" by 2&3 Goat.
2204 UTC: KIND Radio ID by OM, mentioned "God's green ionosphere."
2205 UTC: UNID song with a female singer.
2210 UTC: "Eye" by GOLDEN.
2212 UTC: "Backyard Boy" by Claire Rosinkranz.
2213 UTC: Music's stopping and starting at intervals.

Just checked this at 2153 UTC. Audible via the Northern Utah SDR, though it's very noisy. Not at all receivable at my radio or at the local K9VD SDR out here in Washington state.

I have lots of bands/musicians that I'm a fan of, but Leonard Cohen is top three for me. (The Clash and The Sundays make up the rest of my musical "holy trinity.")

Radio New Zealand's been unusually tough to hear nicely at night here lately, but it was booming in nicely with a few songs in a row by Leonard Cohen (one of my absolute favorites) in the midnight hour locally here on the U.S. West Coast.

Same received here overnight. Thanks, Ion Radio!

Tuned in via the Northern Utah SDR just in time to hear Zeke ID as Camel Back Radio at 0224 UTC before grumbling about propagation conditions a bit. He then played "No Reply" by The Beatles.

0227 UTC: "Born on the Bayou" by CCR. Signal's not at all audible here near Seattle, just via the Utah SDR I'm listening to.

I ventured back down to the sub-500 kHz part of the band last night for the first time in months and logged the following on Feb. 16 UTC:

223 kHz: YKA in Kamloops, British Columbia, at 0818 UTC. Weak but clear signal, not too much fading.

290 kHz: YYF in Penticton, British Columbia, at 0809 UTC. Fair signal at the peaks with fading.

312 kHz: UNT near Penticton, British Columbia, at 0804 UTC. Weak, sometimes barely audible.

344 kHz: XX near Abbotsford, British Columbia, at 0759 UTC. Weak to fair signal, faded up a little in cycles.

350 kHz: NY near Enderby Airport in British Columbia, at 0757 UTC. Weak to fair signal, faded up and down in cycles. Listed as being decommissioned on Feb. 25?

355 kHz: PND near Portland, Oregon, at 0752 UTC. This one's tentative because it was so weak, but definitely a U.S.-based beacon based on the Morse pattern.

368 kHz: SX near Cranbrook, British Columbia, at 0748 UTC. Very good signal.

382 kHz: AW in nearby Arlington, Washington, at 0737 UTC. Very good with YE in Fort Nelson, B.C., in the background. This beacon was off when I last checked in the fall months.

382 kHz: YE in Fort Nelson, British Columbia, at 0739 UTC. Heard fair but clear behind AW on this frequency. This one's 748 miles from my QTH.

388 kHz: JW in Pigeon, Alberta, at 0708 UTC. Weak to fair, with some interference from YWB on 389 kHz at times. This one's about to be decommissioned, too?

That part of the band was doing well Sunday evening, as I then turned to 720 kHz and found WGN coming in about as well as I've ever heard it. 720 can be tough, as KIRO in Seattle splashes over quite a bit at times with its 50-kW transmitter just 40 miles southwest of me.

With CHMJ in Vancouver, B.C., nulled as best I could, I heard country music with a male singer, then at 0506 UTC was “Yeah Boy” by Kelsea Ballerini, which matched what 730 kHz was playing via an SDR in Winnipeg, followed by a promo ID, and then “You’re Out of Touch” by Hall & Oates as the signal faded. The signal rose again around 0515 UTC as “Walls Come Down” by Meghan Patrick played.

CKDM in Dauphin, Manitoba, runs 5 kW at night; distance from me is 1,005 miles.

Just a hint of audio at times out here near Seattle, but good via the Northern Utah SDR ...

0051 UTC: "I Hear You Knocking" by Dave Edmunds.
0054 UTC: OM on mic with Outhouse Radio ID, then "I'm Alright" by Kenny Loggins.
