Listening via Northern Utah SDR; not audible yet out here near Seattle ...

0251 UTC: "She Loves My Automobile" by ZZ Top.
0254 UTC: "I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide" by ZZ Top.
0258 UTC: Quick SSTV transmission; I didn't catch it with my app.
0259 UTC: "A Fool for Your Stockings" by ZZ Top.
0303 UTC: Data transmission of some type, then "Manic Mechanic" by ZZ Top.
0306 UTC: SSTV w/ Damn Skippy ID, then "Lowdown in the Street" by ZZ Top.

This one's audible at times in USB mode here near Seattle. But it's very good via the Northern Utah SDR ...

0207 UTC: Monologue/story with backing music. I assume this is an Alan Maxwell recording?
0220 UTC: Off?
0221 UTC: Nope - back on with distorted talking and sounds opening to "Alan Maxwell's Theater of the Mind." Now in USB, I think.
0231 UTC: After another extended opening sequence, Alan Maxwell telling another story, this one about a monster in a cellar.

Listening via Northern Utah SDR, where the signal is very good and clear ...

2218 UTC: OM talking about numbers and "mind-boggling" patterns.
2220 UTC: Now talking about this "sacred knowledge."
2221 UTC: After a pause, now playing a recording of a numbers station.
2225 UTC: "Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone" by Black Label Society.
2229 UTC: "Fake Woke" by Tom MacDonald.
2232 UTC: OM on mic with ID of Outhouse Radio, I think, then "Evil in Your Eye" by Church of the Cosmic Skull.
2245 UTC: Parody rap song, trying to imitate voice of John Wayne.
2247 UTC: OM back on the mic with Outhouse Radio ID, then "Electric Worry" by Clutch.

319
Listening via NA5B SDR in D.C. area, as it's not audible out West here ...

2151 UTC: Slow, psychedelic rock music
2153 UTC: OM announcer mentioning WHAR and simulcast on Ion Radio. Talking about the music and wrapping up soon. Gave QSL email address, chatted some more, then announced next song and said "good night."
2155 UTC: "Planet Caravan" by Black Sabbath.
2159 UTC: Announcer came back after the song to give one more ID for WHAR and Ion and repeated email address.
2200 UTC: Off.

Thanks for the music; sorry I didn't tune in sooner to hear more!

Utility / Re: Time Signal 6780KHz CW

OK, I'm convinced it's not Australia, as that station apparently has closed, and these pips can be heard around the clock here near Seattle. Origin's still unknown.

I did drop in on the Utility DX Forum, and they list many reports of time signal-like stations around 6779-6780 kHz. There's some speculation there that there might be industrial/scientific/medical equipment of some kind that operates on this frequency.

This station ceased transmission around the end of November 2019 on 6.780MHz.

Are you sure on this? I'm hearing the time pips today (2355-0039 UTC on Feb. 1 and 2) on 6779 USB, and they match the prior descriptions of AXA-210: 20 pips that follow the seconds, with the last one being extended, a pause, then the cycle repeats again.

This Toledo, Oregon, station ran a DX test that I tuned in between 0720-0858 UTC.

With very local KWYZ (their transmitter's located within 5 miles of me) nulled as well as possible, I heard Morse code, sweep tones, and also solid tones behind KWYZ and amid a mix of other unID stations.

KCUP runs 1,000 watts; distance from me is 251 miles.

Heard music from this Kindersley, Saskatchewan, station, including “You Can Call Me Al” by Paul Simon at 0313 UTC, then an ID at 0318 UTC. That was followed by “Sitting on the Dock of the Bay” by Otis Redding, as the signal dominated the frequency over other unID stations. The music matched the station’s online stream when I checked. I heard this on my Honda CR-V’s radio in a shopping center parking lot near my house in Lake Stevens, Washington.

This station runs just 250 watts at night; distance from me is 625 miles.

Good signal via the Northern Utah SDR as of 0011 UTC with music heard after the HFU shout-out and ID.

Here at my place near Seattle, there's just very faint music. It's very slowly improving, perhaps, though we've still got an hour or so before local sunset.

Just a hint of the audio heard here near Seattle as of 0004 UTC. However, the Northern Utah SDR has a fair though noisy signal coming in.

I'll call this tentative because I didn't hear the ID, but I can't find another station in the listings for 1530 kHz that carries ESPN. I heard talking under slightly nulled KFBK in Sacramento. By 0347 UTC, I could hear the NFC playoff game post-game press conference with Tom Brady, matching what I heard on WCKY via the Northern Kentucky SDR. At 0355 UTC, I could clearly hear the ESPN show hosts talking behind KFBK, still matching the SDR audio. The talking was still audible as of 0430 UTC, occasionally fading up a little. This station's distance from me is 1,954 miles.

Just barely audible here near Seattle, but I tuned into a fair signal via Fair Hill, Maryland's SDR just in time to hear the Robin Hood Radio ID at 0425 UTC.

Came back from a walk at local dusk to hear an audible but poor signal direct at my place near Seattle; good signal via the Northern Utah SDR.

0122 UTC: "Less Than" by Nine Inch Nails.
0124 UTC: Canned ID into "Streambreather" by Mastodon.
0129 UTC: Redhat going over past few songs played, then shout-outs to HFU posters. Mentioned this is his "decade in review" music show and gave email address. Broadcasting "east of the Rockies, but west of normal."
0135 UTC: Redhat mentioned he's drinking Rogue's Dead Guy Ale, which is a great ale; I've visited the tasting room at Rogue's headquarters on the Oregon Coast. Since found out I'm allergic to beer, so I've graduated to wine and whiskey.
0136 UTC: "Trials" by Starset.
0141 UTC: "Radio" by Rammstein. I LOVE this song; one of my faves from 2019.
0145 UTC: Canned ID into "Rope" by Foo Fighters.
0149 UTC: Redhat with time check into "Shot in the Dark" from AC/DC's newest album.
0153 UTC: Redhat back on mic, mentioning previously played songs and doing HFU shout-outs.
0158 UTC: Canned ID into "Cool Kids" by Echosmith. Going to sit back and enjoy the tunes for a while!
0212 UTC: That "When is the Future" song by VNV Nation's pretty cool. The signal's still poor here near Seattle, but it's breaking through the noise in AM mode rather than just SSB now. Also a decent signal via the Winnemucca, Nevada, SDR I'm now listening to.
0320 UTC: Checked back on the signal on my radio here near Seattle, and it's improved to fair at the peaks. But there's still a lot of noise between those peaks.
0413 UTC: The noise has subsided somewhat, and I can now hear Redhat from across the room most of the time here on my radio.

329
Music audible here north of Seattle, though noisy. Very good signal heard via the Northern Utah SDR.

0002 UTC: "Cassie (acoustic version)" by Flyleaf.
0005 UTC: "I'm so Sick (acoustic version)" by Flyleaf. Also, sounds like another song/signal behind this?
0007 UTC: OM (Zeke) saying he's nearly done, then talks about politics and how he would have preferred Bernie Sanders or Andrew Yang as president. Now definitely hearing interference behind it; maybe just peskies, though.
0010 UTC: After a short pause, talking again, wishing a good weekend, few more thoughts on retirement savings.
0011 UTC: "The Ghost of Tom Joad" by Bruce Springsteen.
0015 UTC: "Straight Time" by Bruce Springsteen.
0019 UTC: Zeke talking again on the mic. Then started playing a song, faded it out and started talking about the interference with his signal, drinking wine, and then went back to talking about retirement savings.
0023 UTC: Shout-out to me. Yep, hearing you a bit out here near Seattle, but still much better via the Northern Utah SDR.
0025 UTC: "Sinaloa Cowboys" by Bruce Springsteen, then Zeke back on the mic a moment or two later, talking about vinyl records. Between some fading and the strong peskies, though, this signal's really starting to get buried.

Blues rock song in progress at 0005 UTC, heard well via the Northern Utah SDR. Just snippets of the music fading in here near Seattle.

0008 UTC: OM DJ with ID: Outhouse Radio? Then back to the blues rock.
0012 UTC: OM saying "Coast to Coast and beyond ... Outhouse Radio." Then, more music.
