CW ID at 0015, caught me off guard so I don't even have a guess as to what it was. Pretty steady at an S4 here, and at 0017 as I'm typing this they gave another CW ID, which I didn't catch again.  >:(

Hearing both frequencies tonight with Greek music and a female announcer. 9420 is the strongest, hovering around S9, while 9935 hovers around S7 on the satellit 800. This is one of my favorite stations on shortwave, I like the music and have had it on about all evening.

Shortwave Broadcast / Radio Rebelde schedule change?
« on: January 27, 2017, 0101 UTC »
Noticed within the last week that Radio Rebelde has been absent from 5025 in the evenings when I get home from work (2300 UTC, 6PM EST) but this morning I flipped the radio on before work (around 7 AM EST, 1200 UTC) and they were on then. Anyone else notice this change too? They used to be on 24/7 I thought.

I believe I just caught the tail end of a repeat of this that just ended at 1818z.

On now with pop music, signal is around S8 with some fading, which is the best I've had them here in south central PA.

Started listening at 2335 with a mix of African music, good signal here in south central PA, then off at 2350z. First time catching this one.

That station always seemed to me like a sketchy operation, I contacted them once several years ago with some questions about the station (what kind of equipment they ran, how much power were they running, etc.) and the answer I got back was something to the effects of because they were an international broadcast station, that information was confidential and could not be given out, which I kinda took as meaning they probably aren't actually running anything close to being legal.

S5 with instrumental music right now.

0020-cut off then back on a about 10 seconds later, possibly the same thing that was just on 6933 that moved down a little.

0008 they went off then came back, then off again now at 0009 they are back on with Alan Jackson-Chattahoochee, S5 here.

0013-Alan Jackson-I'll Try (part way through the music cut out and I was hearing what sounded like Spanish, almost like a peskie, must sure like Alan Jackson ??? , wonder if this is the same group that everyone was hearing on 6919 earlier)

Was just getting ready to start a new topic, but seen this one first. I have the station (assuming its the same one) here at an S3, ocassionally peaks to S4. Audio is clear but narrow, lots of mids but no lows and little highs, might just be the recordings being played though.

Tuned in at 0045, playing "Walk on the Wild Side"
Signal is an S8 here with occasional fading.

0048-"Wild Wild Life"

When the signal comes up enough I can hear some bits of music through the heavy static.

Utility station around the same frequency is just clobbering everything, only way I can hear anything is switch the radio over to LSB. Music sounds good though, what I can hear of it.

74
I'm guessing its the same station still on right now at 0114 UTC, great audio, good signal with an occasional deep fade. Coming it a lot better than WBCQ is just 20 khz down from them.

Solid S8 signal here in south central PA on the Grundig. Good audio. I have the Grundig set to 6 khz bandwidth, sounds so good its hard to believe its USB and not AM.
