UNID (Undercover Radio?) 6925 AM 0037z 11-Jun-2016
« on: June 11, 2016, 0041 UTC »
S8-S9 in New Hampshire, sounding good and about even with the static levels

Nice signal and tunes, now all you need is a name and a station ID

0037z Ambrosia - How Much I Feel
0042z Off after one tune
0046z Back with Ace - How Long Has This Been Going On?
0049z And off again for a bit and back with Al Stewart - Time Passages
0056z Another break (carrier off), back with Christopher Cross - Sailing (tnx Skip)
0102z Foreigner - Waiting For A Girl Like You
0107z Paul Young - Every Time You Go Away

Static levels coming up now, S9+10, makes copy tough

0117z Off and back at 0119z with Carly Simon - You're So Vain
0123z Albert Hammond - It Never Rains In Southern California
0127z Scott McKenzie - San Francisco
0130z Simon and Garfunkel - Sounds of Silence
0133z Off

0144z Back w Piano
0152z Mr. Mister - Broken Wings
0157z The Alan Parsons Project- Eye in the Sky
0203z Christopher Cross - Ride Like The Wind
0208z Michael McDonald - I Keep Forgettin'
0213z ...
0229z Chopped up ID, tough copy,  Undercover Radio?

0232z "How to talk like a pirate"
0234z QRM from a PSK signal on 6926, switched to LSB to get rid of it (no peskies down there tonight)
0244z Still good copy on LSB
0248z QRM gone
0258z "I'm Sexy And I Know It"

Time for bed, Thanks for the show

Heard here from 0039 until 0320 UTC. Generally an SIO 555. I heard one set of Undercover Radio IDs at 0228.  There were a few breaks in the transmission/carrier.

Fair signal here in an SDR Recording, but tons of QRN from those pesky ridge-running thunderboomers just to the NW of me.

I'm back into SWLing after about a 20 year hiatus and catching up on a couple of logs from the last week or so.

Signal here was excellent and audio quality was great.  My buddy and I were dusting the cobwebs off of my old FRG-770 and it was nice to hear a good quality signal coming through the speaker.  After a while we had some noise and fading come in so I switched to my IC-746pro and put on some noise reduction.  Once the interference passed your signal came back up and I finished out the rest of the show without the NR.

thanks for the show - I really enjoyed it.  Good song choices!
