Wanted: Icom OPC-023C DC power cable
« on: September 06, 2020, 1747 UTC »
Anyone have an Icom OPC-023C that they're not using and no longer need? This cable fits the R7100, R8500, and R9000 V/Uhf receivers. Will pay a reasonable price for one. Icom says they're discontinued.

Contact me via PM or direct.

Thanks! jta

If you are talking about the 4 pin molex connector on the back of the 7100 and 8500, those connectors are common and easy to get.  It would be easy to put together a DC power cable.   Probably less than $10 worth of materials with new parts.

I believe that Tower Electronics carry those at    http://www.pl-259.com/page4.html     And, or e-mail Scott & Jill at   sales@pl-259.com   to inquire. Hope that helps.

The one he is looking for has the pins all in one line, not the more common square (2 over 2) type found today.  It looks like two of the pins are jumpered together too.  Still worth checking with Tower though!

Awh yeah... You're probably right. Maybe better for him to 'roll his own' here.
