Hi.

To have that soundclip for all here why don't you use sound hosting like -> https://vocaroo.com/ ? No registration required just upload your recording and everyone can help you.
 ;)

Hope this helps.

Hi.

You won't get any serious hint without a sound file - to identify the language. A "robo foreign YL voice" could be everything as there are a few stations listed:

QRG     Station     Call     ITU     Mode     Remark     Locator     Coordinates
17326.0     Olympia Radio     SVO     GRC     USB          KM07RO     37.604181, 21.488436
17326.0     Chabahar Radio     EQJ     IRN     USB     QSX: 16444,0 kHz     ML05HG     25.283285, 60.644820
17326.0     Ishikawa Radio     JFD     J     USB     Fishery Radio
17326.0     Kystradio Sor     LGQ     NOR     USB          JO28TP     58.657917, 5.604028

Hope this helps.

Hi.

Normally Meteo Hamburg (DWD - TX Pinneberg) transmits on this frequency (CF = 15988,0 kHz as FAX +RTTY= FSK). Probably they are using it either for FAX transmissions. Sometimes they do work WX support for German survey vessels such as FS POLARSTERN or others. This transmission may be related.

Hope this helps.

Hi.

CF is 3855,0 kHz (FAX = FSK).

Be aware that all FSK (FAX, RTTY, SITOR-A/-B, DSC, NAVTEX etc.) signals have a center frequency ALWAYS in the middle between high and low "tone" (Frequency). You may receive it in USB (with speciall offset) or CW (with correct BFO tune). But as it is a frequency modulated signal the CF is always between "mark" and "space" (low and high "tone" or frequenc).

Hope this helps. :)

Hi.

CF is 4346,0 kHz (FAX = FSK), 4344,1 kHz might (!) be the frequency you tuned your receiver to.... ::)

Hope this helps.

Hi.

Shift is 170 Hz, I guess you mean "Offset"...

As this is an FSK transmission the center frequency (CF) and window frequency (WF, or dial frequency DF) for this mode is both 8414,5 kHz - right between "mark" and "space". This is valid for ANY fsk mode on HF - RTTY, SITOR (including DSC), FAX, STANAG4481 etc.

What you are using as window frequency (WF) or dial frequency (DF) is depending on the decoder/modem you are using. Normally the offset for DSC is 1700 Hz (a.f.a.i.k. defined by ITU and IMO for the maritime mobile service on HF, including GMDSS). Same with NAVTEX on 490 and 518 kHz - that is the CF transmitted, despite the fact if it is modulated by a modem or directly by the transmitter.

On the other hand we have those PSK, OFDM, BPSK etc. modes where CF and WF are different (STANAG4285, MIL-STD 188-141, MIL-STD 188-110 etc.). The offset for S4285 for example is 1800 Hz so you have a WF/DF of let's say 3998,2 kHz and a CF of 4000,0 kHz.

Please be aware of this difference in modulation and demodulation of any frequency shift keying - from RTTY, SITOR-A/-B (and DSC), NAVTEX, STANAG4481, DPRK-FSK, AKKORD and so on.

Hope this helps.

Hi.

This is JOMOC Northwood - the military meteorological and oceanographic service of the british forces. Callsign GYA using the DHFCS transmiter sites.

Military One is the name of the programm they transmit and NOT the stations name.

Hope this helps.

Hi.

This looks a bit too much like DSC (SITOR-B) traffic on 8414,5 kHz, not 8412,5 kHz.

Could you please verify that?

Hope this helps.

Hi.

Sometimes it makes sense to have a look at -> www.priyom.org when coming across that kind of fast morse. Of course it could be something else but a numbers station but a quick look at their numbers schedule may resolve most of it.
