I know this is a WBCQ freq. but I pretty sure this was not BCQ.

I like Simons software but Sdruno seems to work better now with the version sdrplay v. 1. Have not tried the ver 2 sdrplay yet. Been meaning to stop at HRO, maybe tomorrow.

DGPS / DGPS logs for 11/21 to 11/24

I've only been using the audio input decoding function and have been letting it run on a 7kHz section of the band for a few days and comparing the hits on the
lower count stations based on hit times across multiple days, some coincide (give or take an hour or so) each day, some not.

I'm guessing that some of the lower number hits are valid if they show up at or near the same time give or take an hour or two on multiple days, and if the hit's around greyline from my location the better the probability.

Try 161 around 5:30 local your time. It was there today not as strong as last week when it sounded almost local. Right now 7:30 local eastern 171 is coming in very well, Radio Mediterranee Internationale

Yes, suspected as much. The program did stop and throw and error message after about an hour or so. I saved a screen capture but then shut the computer down and lost it but if it happens again I will make sure to send something along. I restarted the program and ran it all night last night and this morning it was still chugging along.

When installing I installed as an administrator and installed it to the C:\DGPS decoder\AmalgamatedDGPSWindows". When running I also select run as administrator. Don't know if it makes a difference by I know that YaDD, YaND, and some others operate better this way.

Chris, thanks for the software. Have it running under Win 8.1 with SDR Console V3. Been running about 35 min. and have two 1 hits on Australia and Scotland.

Plus about 10 more using live audio with a 7kHz filter.

For general listening the SDR Play is hard to beat for the price. And, HRO has it on sale for $124 and change for next few days. I have a few dongle types which work OK for VHF and up and I've owned a FLEX radio as well.

When considering a radio no matter what it is at least consider the antenna as well. The best receiver in the world is not going to work well without a decent antenna. Which for most of HF bands could be a piece of wire in a tree. A dipole antenna would be better. Or even a mini whip will work fairly well for most of the bands up to about 20 Mhz. I have one and use it from LW to 20 Mhz with pretty good results but it really shines on the LW/MW bands.
