Just walked back into the radio room to hear a WRR ID with the OM talking about playing some tunes. 0149z - I've Been Everywhere. 35443 with decent audio.
S7 here in Chicago.

I tuned down to 1710 to see if Chicago pirate W807 was on the air. Sure enough, Dr. B tuned down too. Signal still about S5.

Dr. Benway popping up on 6925u at 0330z talking about the reports from earlier tonight (sorry I missed it) and also talking about UCR T-shirts  .

Nice signal here. S9 with good audio and some fading. 43433.

Big signal at sign-on around 0425z. S8 with nice quality AM audio. 43444. Intro chatter about shortwave, T-shirts, then into Queens of the Stone Age.

Signal quickly dropped to S1-S5 and frequent fades at 0438z. Intermittent QRM hash near me is S7 and killing the signal too.

Received this email confirmation for last night's broadcast. Sounds like more formal QSL's are in the works.

Confirming reception of Radio Plate Current on 1/1/14 7:38Z 6925 KHz AM
Powered by Eimac. Big pipe vertical and power between 100 and 1000 watts somewhere in the X time zone.

I'm choosing to leave out the time zone for now.

Pretty sure this is Midwest pirate W807 coming through this morning with Carol Kings "It's Too Late" at 1630z. Bad MW antenna and local RFI not helping.
