North American Shortwave Pirate / Re: Man Cave Radio 6925.2 LSB

6925 AM? 0157-0213+ JUN 29
High noise levels and potential storm rolling in made copy difficult.
Was making out some copy in both USB and LSB, poorly.
Was able to hear what may have been some sort of novelty ad into some music I could not fully decipher.  However, did clearly hear a Budweiser commercial.  After that point, noise and a het wiped out any further chance to copy.

Can barely hear music and op's voice but signal is very faint and deep in the noise floor.  Best heard, as it is, in LSB.
By 0120 signal improved enough to hear op wish listeners a good week and a happy 4th.  A song by Sinatra(?) followed and then lost signal or s/off around 0125.

Does there seem to be more of what may be described as  military-type transmissions appearing lately around the usual pirate frequencies?
Aside from the MARS on 6912/6913, there appears to be an increasing number of utes and data packet broadcasts.
Tonight (Jun 28) on 6940 there were several packet transmissions heard throughout the late evening hours.
Just wondering if they are more frequent or more aware of their presence.

No joy here on the Great Plains; only heard a carrier.

RENEGADE RADIO  6935 USB  0315-0220+  JUN 28
Fair signal but lots of noise at my location making copy a bit difficult.  Caught clear ID ~0325 with op commenting about some issues with mic.
Hope conditions improve here in Nebraska .

6945 USB/  0158-02243+ / JUN 24
Music by Black Sabbath and Megadeath,  Also op talked about a song he did not play before, playing radio version instead of 30-min version.  Did not quite copy name of group or song.
Shout out to J Farley in Chicago.
Fair signal here in Nebraska with strong bass cutting through the noise here.

Will be marked as an UNID here in Nebraska.  Can hear some copy but signal too deep in noise floor.  Presumed AM mode but was heard better in LSB.   Nearby het creating another problem with attempts to copy.

Other / Odd "Clicking" Signal on 28073 LSB Jun 20
« on: June 20, 2014, 1717 UTC »
28073 LSB  1328-1705+  2014.06.20

All this morning and now into early afternoon hearing a station with single click buzzing tones at apparent irregular spacing between clicks.
Can be heard in AM mode but not USB.  Best heard in LSB and apparently centered at 28073.
Signal is quite strong and considering frequency and time of day may relatively close to my location in Nebraska.

I have noticed in the last several weeks there have been numerous Spanish-language hams heard in the 6800-7000 kHz range.  Usually they broadcast in LSB mode.
Also noticed an increase in what may be MARS-affiliated nets operating around 6913, 6880, and tonight on 6972.
The 43-metre pirate band is getting crowded.

Radio Sharon  6925 USB 0044-0050*  JUN 16
Sounds like 2 kids just having a good time (while parents away?).  Little difficult to copy but sounded like an interview with someone, comments about a papaya drink, and a weather report.  Cute program I think I may have heard before.

Very tough copy here in eastern Nebraska.  Signal barely above noise floor and approaching storm adding to the difficulty. IDs at  0107 and 0125.

General Radio Discussion / Re: YHWH - 6/10 update
« on: June 12, 2014, 0355 UTC »
I inadvertently heard YHWH several weeks ago on 14350 but did not recognize it as such.  I thought it was one of a number of evangelical/fundamentalist preachers I have heard before a numerous occasions.  I have not heard the station since that time.
The seemingly random nature of times and frequencies makes me wonder, as others have already noted, what's the point of trying to get your message in this situation.
Since I am not privy to YWHW's motivation, the station will continue to be a mystery to me.  But I will still try to hear it!

Is this what I am hearing now on 6945 USB from 0205-0245 UTC on JUN 12?
~97 pips/min with no change of tone noted.

On 6925 USB from 0100 on (June 06), another show from "The Temple of The Screaming Electron," it's Whiskey Redneck Radio.
Usual huge signal here in Nebraska between storms playing country songs from Grandpa Jones, Hank Williams III, and others.
