Tried to do it myself, but the instructions were lacking

0137  Been listening for a little while on the HFU SDR--  S-9 signal but audio somewhat weak so far....
and yes, the voice annoucements sound somewhat "muffled" and hard to copy,
although I did catch an ID

4
0210 "Desperation Song" ~ Carbon Leaf
ID in some chatter mid-song,  "WROF" ?  No, WORF-- went by too fast for my old ears...

S-8 to S-9 with very strong audio on HFU-SDR

5
0210   "Don't give up on us, baby" ~ David Soul, blond actor from 70's series "Starsky and Hutch", with his only pop radio singer hit.

Big 'signal' nearly 20/S-9 on Traverse City MI SDR, but audio fighting with all the massive lightning storms nationwide a little tonight---
but not terrible. Jut a lot of static tonight

Thanks for the show tonight!

An honor, Captain, true as gravity!
Greetings from Orbit.

"Beneath the city, two hearts beat
Soul engines running through a night so tender
In a bedroom locked in whispers
Of soft refusal and then surrender
In the tunnels uptown, the Rat's own dream guns him down
As shots echo down them hallways in the night
No one watches when the ambulance pulls away
Or as the girl shuts out the bedroom light"
~ 'Jungleland'  ~  Bruce Springsteen

Truly 'Art Rock', although not often recognized as from that genre

Thanks, amigo!

0139  Could barely make out parts of Moody Blues "Ride My Seesaw", but noise very tough and audio weak.
0149 "In the Court of the Crimson King"  ~ King Crimson

0203  "Time" ~ Pink Floyd

About S-5 in Chetek WIS SDR, but audio better here   http://22303.proxy.kiwisdr.com:8073/

0218  "Jungleland" ~ Bruce Springsteen, and audio improved with S-9 signal on TC sdr http://kiwi.k8bmz.net:8073/
0227 "Nights in White Satin" ~ The Moody Blues

Some recognizable audio bits from my own programming, "We Want the Airwaves (Ramones)",
"The Crystal Ship"  ~ The Doors, classic TCS poetic opening "call to arms",  and into
"In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" (1968) by Iron Butterfly (long version) at 0244 UTC...
(The relayer is "looping" the same show)

Reception is very tough, I could only recognize some of my own station/program IDs
because I have an unfair advantage, but this is clearly a relay of our classic
"Rock and Roll Art Show" program, featuring "Art Rock"  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Art_rock
originally released and broadcast around 2013 with subsequent repeats through 2018...

I will entertain any QSL request for this at tcsshortwave@gmail.com
and catch up with a few neglected reports at the same time...

THANK YOU, Relaying Amgio!!!!

0258ish- Finally a fairly clear reception of the ID for this show,
"You are listening to The Crystal Ship, and our 'Rock and Roll Art Show', on the TCS Shortwave Relay network",
with background music from The Moody Blues... into John Poet talking about what 'art rock' is, or was...

0302  "Procession" ~ Moody Blues, leading into "The Story in your eyes",
from their 1971 album  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Every_Good_Boy_Deserves_Favour_(album)
(My older sister owned this, and this opening section always had my full attention....)

0313  Back into Moody Blues' "Ride My Seesaw" where I got onto this train,
but better reception this time... and a couple classic tunes from "Electric Light Orchestra"

8
0159 UTC---  S-7 on the SDR in Lincoln Nebraska...

9
0136 "Anticipation" by Carly Simon
then off?

Weak signal and audio in Maryland SDR-  tried a few other locations, but this was the best.

10
0253... Hearing a familiar video game midi from many years ago, although I can't recall the game---
into clear "Liquid Radio" ID

Good signal on Traverse City SDR tonight-- S-9 to 10 over, audio doing pretty good over the noise

Better STN ratio on Lincoln Nebraska SDR  http://k0idt-kiwi.ddns.net:8073/

11
0208 "Bad Company" ~ Bad Company
0213 "Barracuda" ~ Heart
0221 "Refugee" ~ Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers
0225  "500 miles"---  The Radical and I had a very obscene version of this song we used to sing in the car, lmao

Fighting with very noisy band conditions tonight.  About S-6 on HFU SDR
Much stronger at 20/S-9 on Traverse City MI SDR  http://kiwi.k8bmz.net:8073/

Sycko, No interference heard from the TC-SDR.  I don't see any other nearby station but the usual UTE chirper on 6940.
Don't see/hear any good reason for you to change frequency.

0245 "Jenny Jenny / 867-5309"  ~ Tommy Tutone-- that song significantly impacted my life!
Ok, funny story--- there was a girl I liked at this bar I frequented several years after this song was popular,
but I could never remember her name.... it was Jenny.  So then I identified her with this song,
so I could remember her name--- and every time I saw her there, I would start singing "867-5309!   867-5309!"
She hated it, and probably hit me a couple of times...
We ended up together for about six years!   LOL

0248  "Bad Moon Rising" ~ CCR

12
0301   "Taps", into "Sweet Home Alabama"---
was listening earlier also and heard your first ID during Johnny Cash "I walk the line"

Now  VERY STRONG signal and audio into Traverse City MI SDR,
over 20 over S-9 signal, and great audio!

ROCK ON, Sycko!!!!!

0307 "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked" by Cage the Elephant
with brief ute pulse QRM, now gone
0312 "So what'cha want" ~ Beastie Boys
0315    "Mega!! Kung Fu Radio" ~ Powerman 5000... great audio at start of song, but Shazam was a little slow IDing it...
0323  "Black Betty", a big AM radio song in the earlier 70's during my childhood, knew that opening riff instantly
0325  "Bohemian Rhapsody" ~ Queen--- think I still own that "45" record here somewhere...
0331   "you're tuned to Sycko Radio... 6955... shortwave". Into "What's Up?" ~ 4 Non Blondes
(with another brief QRM ute pulse transmission, less than 10 seconds)
0337  "Sweet dreams are made of these"--- Sycko Radio on the air
after all the older pirate radio DXers have gone to bed!
(Better reception now on the Wisconsin SDR  http://22303.proxy.kiwisdr.com:8073/  )
with the band going a little longer
0340   "Tubthumping" ~  Chumbawama, says Shazam... always thought it was
"I get knocked down, but I get up again" etc etc. First time I heard that song was on some TV talk show,
wasn't sure if I liked it or not...

Better now on Nebraska SDR, but I am losing you while hearing "Children of the Sun" ~ Billy Thorpe,
the band is going pretty long, searching for another SDR...

0350-- MUCH better now on a Massachusetts SDR, go figure...  http://sigmasdr.ddns.net:8076/  peaking S-9,
but better audio now

0356 "Sabotage" ~  Beastie Boys
(why not just fight for my right to party?   you know you want to!)
Interesting memory of this song-- it was popular about the same time
that M.S.U. students were rioting on their East Lansing campus--- for no easily discernible reason...
because they lost at some sports event?  I was driving a taxi out there at the time,
dodging burning couches in the road....

0359  "Honky Tonk Women" ~ The Rolling Stones

man, I really gotta get my shix  ship together...  LOL
THANKS for the late night shortwave pirate radio show, amigo!!!

13
0231... another one of those very wide USB pirate radio signals,
signal about S-7 on the HFU SDR, but extremely strong audio, and no noise!

14
0145 "Just what I needed" ~ The Cars (demo version)
0148 "Closing time"...
0152  "baba o' riley" ~ The Who--- that electronic opening sounds very true to the final cut.

Great reception on the HFU SDR-- S-7 to S-8 with wide, loud and clear audio.

Actually been listening for a while--- yeah, the final versions of all these songs were definitely better...
Worst of these demos to my ears so far was definitely the Fleetwood Mac... Ouch.

"Closing Time", "Freebird" and "The Boys Are Back in Town" were not too awful...

15
0455.... Hearing Jimmy Hendrix faintly 'all along the watchtower',
but with SSB QRM stronger on a Texas SDR---
oh wait, rather better on the Chetek Wisconsin SDR---

THANKS for the late-night SW pirate radio show!!!
