I had this problem at one point with an older transmitter. My fix was to ground everything in the setup and keep cable lengths to a minimum, and any excess I still had is bundled up instead of stretched out.

Seems I've gotten the distortion issues sorted out with the Kahn ISB AM Stereo sorted out.  Those -45/+45 phase shifts are key details!  When they don't work...it's not very "compatible" with envelope detectors. 

Anyone listening in stereo?

Yeah, sounds really good in Stereo to me.
