Via Highland Falls SDR, New York State

Weak, but readable, fading in and out.

'This is The Vault'

Update:

The station's E-QSL is definitely worth having. Take my word for it. :)

And if you wanna know the origin of the station's name,
you'll have to send the good folks there a reception report,
coz I, for one, ain't prepared to spill the beans!  :)

The station suddenly left the airwaves.
And I read a strange post, about the station being on
6990, since deleted.

I think the operator is catering to transatlantic dxers,
so he might well change bands as the station is no longer
making it across the pond on that band.

The operator seemed to be directing me to SDRs that
provided the best signals. Not that that was ever a priority
with me.

This makes me think he has never been a dxer, unlike you
and me.

We are content with listening to weak signals. Others aren't.

We'll see what transpires.

Some excellent rock music was played.

Fast response to my e-mail reception report.

Audio files of broadcasts are welcome.

E-QSL in the pipeline.

I have inquired as to why the operator has
chosen that particular name for his radio station.

I wonder if it is after a kind of four-wheeled vehicle
that lends itself to travel over rough terrain, or after
a strong cocktail in a tall glass (see urban slang dictionary).

SINPO 34333

2140 Max Bruch Violin Concerto No 1 - Documentary

was posted The Ether Hacker.

I did my level best to listen via an SDR.

But alas, to no avail!

Never mind, maybe better luck next time.

The Ether Hacker tends to post about relatively low power
HF stations that he has managed to receive direct.

I regard him as a real dxer, just like his transatlantic

fellow dxers.

Kudos to him!

Up date as all the problems were not connected to shortwave broadcast we will be back on in a couple of weeks time. Our stream was reported after we got listed on internet radio the stream had been used since 2012 so we had a good run .The reason why the web site was closed down was because we had a live stream embedded player on the site.We have fixed the aerial and it is back up.We panic because all of this took place at the same time, and we thought it was all connected .Over the next few days we will be putting the studio back together again.73

Fair enough, radio merlin!

My last report on 29 Jul 2020 that was the beginning of the thread,
had 320 views. Of course, those many views were for the 'off air' reason.

Normally, that thread should be moved to an other forum. Waiting for a while...

Okay, Ray.

Waiting for a while might well be the best thing to do.

And there will probably be another update e-mailed promptly from Paul Watt relevant to
his thoughts about his newly encountered difficulties.

Thanks for your input.

I am tuned in right now via a Dutch SDR.

Impressive reception and a good variety of music.

I hope that the station is logged across the Atlantic.

Just to confirm that the station accepts audio files
of its broadcasts and replies promptly to reception
reports.  :)

Its e-mail address can be viewed on:
