Weak sig appearing through the fades into StL at 18:20.  Have heard a few catchy songs, but so far unable to make out ID.

Finally caught ID @18:35 of WEAK radio.  Nice show!

Caught at 02:45z, WOlverine radio is rocking with the usual cool musical montage, signal S5, a little weaker than other recent broadcasts from Wolvie picked up here in Stl.

Utility / Rescue 22 Responding to UNID Mayday

On 5732u at 02:00z Rescue 22 (J22 ALE ID) Heli contacted by Jacksnville Center (ALE ID Z11) and given coordinates and search pattern for an unid mayday.  Rscue 22 called back to confirm that these coordinates were intended to put them over a resevoir north of Lake Monroe, which was confirmed.

On at 20:00z is pretty piano music I am not cultured enough to identify.  S7 in StL.  Nice change of pace for this freqency.  Off at 20:55z.  No station ID ever heard.  Was briefly interfered with here by another unidentified station at approx 20:30 playing folk music.

Yes my friend, hearing those Northern Crossers via HFDL, or even better, by voice contacts with Gander and Shanwick carries a special charm as those fragile signals, buffeted by the frigid North Atlantic waters, (call me crazy but I swear I can almost hear those ocean winds roaring in the background) make their way to our humble radios and remind us of the trecherous journeys made in years gone by between the old world and the new!  Plus they do make for some great DX catches!

At about 22:50z caught the last several minutes of "Up Against the Wall Radio," at 6925U, not 100% about that ID as signal was only fair here.  Was playing some music and info about Timothy Leary before went off the air at 23:00z.  Sounded cool while I caught it.
