have i heard SOH in alaska? Possibly but not likely... when i hear asian languages thats listed as SOH.. i just pass it on by because the signal is way too strong to be SOH, even at my location.

Theres a Dxer in a non HFU FB group whos repeatedly posted logs claiming to have heard SOH, ive alerted him once or twice.. but he continues to do it, saying he couldnt find a match anywhere to cNR or SOH fropm his QTH in the rocky mountains... but never says hes verified with a stream on SOH's website

The member "Ron - Calif." here has heard it and provided enough detail to confirm reception. But he's a long time DXer and he's right on the beach at California. I trust all his logs implicitly because of that plus the detail he gives. I forget the frequency, maybe a weird on just outside 49m, but that's one he says is never jammed. It's not impossible to get if you know what to look for (a big clue is to listen for time pips at the top of the hour - CNR1 has them, SOH doesn't it), but he knows the SOH station ID in Mandarin as well.

0102 just above the noise here, SIO 111.

5
Agreed with Paul. Without a report indicating something that positively identifies the broadcast as SOH, it's not SOH.

A three-day progression, which gets the schedule exactly where it would have been without the repetition of the past two days. Interestingly, HM01 seemed to have timing issues with its schedule as most of my recordings were blank for their frequencies, with the exception of 10860 coming on at 0547 UTC, and 13435 being on briefly around 0730 UTC. But I copied the files, so I have to assume that 11635 did come on sometime around or after 0900 UTC, because the last recording I make is that frequency for the 0800 UTC hour, and my SDR just stays on that frequency until I rise and come into the shack. I only heard the number sets being read on the 10860 recording, but no file transmissions.

First real clean decode I've managed of this digital numbers station in forever. All three transmissions from this hour (15872 USB at 1800z and 13872 USB at 1840z) were quite strong into Denver, and I'd even have said that the first one was SIO 555. However it was the middle one which the latest build of Rivet translated without any obvious errors.

Hi MDK2.

P5O is known as the Indonesian Navy from its communications center in Surabaya. You caught them on 9162,0 kHz as CF or with an offset? But despite that it is a new frequency to me. I have it listed on (all kHz CF) 6365,0 / 9845,0 and 12235,0 kHz.

A partner station is 7CB from commcen Belawan, operating on 9945,0 / 12235,0 and 18980,0 kHz (CF).

Hope this helps.

Yes, that helps a lot. Thank you. There was no offset, it was 9162.0.
