0027 tuned in to the middle of a SSTV (sounds like Scottie DX mode). Using a kiwi SDR in Fort Collins CO due to some lighting at my QTH, although it looks like it's clearing up.
0041 tuned back to hear "Smash It Up" by The Damned, one of my all time favorite tunes. Thanks anonymous pirate!

Heard a couple around same time but was unable to get copy.  Off ~0032.
Not sure if same station but male voice At 0036 into music.  Heavy static, tough copy.

Seems likely that it's the same one.

Not sure how long he's been on, but I found him when I tuned to this frequency at this time. Usual spiel in progress.

I haven't been trying for this regularly, mostly because it's more fun trying to catch it when it has a chance of reaching my QTH. But today I did get on a kiwi SDR to log this particular transmission.

V24, 6215 kHz, 1500 UTC, 07 JUN 2019
Listened via "soy sauce" kiwi SDR in Chiba, Japan

First tuned over at 1457, and carrier was already up. SIO 344.
Music at 1500, message at 1503, ended late in the minute of 1508 and QRT 1509.
6215 is still using the same song that's been in use since early 2016.

0206 SSTV

0208 another Lady Gaga song - maybe the same one? Shazam not cutting it now.
0212 "Poker Face" Lady Gaga
0222 SSTV

0224 more music
0236 hearing a weak SSTV after a period of no broadcast being copied

HM01 continued to send May 27's number sets and files on these dates, copied by myself on these frequencies at these times.

** propagation was either poor, or the signal from Cuba was on 6/13, 6/14, and 6/15. Based on the absolutely rock bottom modulation observed on RHC on both 6000 and 6165 kHz after 0100z, it's possible that they had transmitter problems, but signal strength was very very low at any time I tuned in. I have to admit that I generally forgot to try to get the 0500 UTC broadcast, even if I was awake an in the shack at the time.

Thanks to Ron for the report from the other day, or else I probably wouldn't have been looking for this. Very weak signal but enough bits of audio to recognize the op and even hear the word "Yahweh" to positively identify the station. Propagation is poor, perhaps most of the signal is skipping me as the carrier fades out a lot. Still on as of 0432z but just a trace.

Very faint signal copyable under the noise here (19m has a lower noise floor at my QTH than most, but nothing close to middle-of-nowhere low). Soon it will be copyable when the English broadcast transmits between 1300 and 1400. Waiting for that is like anticipating the cherry blossoms in spring, because the window of time where that's possible is about as narrow.

Fair signal but perfectly copyable in spite of the fact that the sun won't set until well after 0200z at my QTH. Broadcasting a recording of Beethoven's 7th Symphony, one of my favorites.

Other / Firedrake 9680 kHz 1330 UTC 18 MAY 2019
« on: May 18, 2019, 1358 UTC »
Very strong signal, and noteworthy because CNR1 is usually present on this frequency instead to jam Radio Taiwan International. Besides the difference in choice of jammers, it's also interesting to find the Firedrake jamming something that's not Radio Free Asia. Nearly every other copy I've made has been against RFA while CNR1 seems to be preferred for nearly every other signal China wishes to block.

Also interesting - when it signed off at 1400, there was a brief YL voice as if they had momentarily switched to CNR1 before ending transmission. Not sure if that's what it was since I don't know a word of Mandarin, but that's another first for me with Firedrake listening.

0200 signal signed on, fair strength. ID based on email received saying he would be on tonight. No Redhat as of yet. (Signal stronger as of 0202)
0203 now having terrible static crashes, hearing OM sounds like Redhat.
0205 "Radio" Rammstein
0210 Redhat with X-FM ID and talking about conditions.
0215 HFU shoutouts
0217 X-FM canned ID and Redhat with email into "Long Gone" Chris Cornell
0222 X-FM ID inot "Lullaby" Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes
0226 "Pardon Me" Incubus
0230 "Runaway" Linkin Park
0233 "Victoria" Eve 6
0236 Redhat on the mic... the suicides of Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington... Something about Genesis from 1974... X-FM email, inviting reception reports.... other topics... recordings count as reception reports.... doesn't care if you hear him on an online SDR... checking to see if anything's happening at the Free Radio Cafe... Reading HFU posts... thanks for tuning in... xfmshortwave at gmail dot com.
0246 "When is the Future?" VNX Nation
0250 "The Geeks Were Right" The Faint

Probably going to retire from the shack soon... have work in the morning and the signal is having a hard time fighting the static. Thanks as always for the show Redhat. ++

The software release roadmap for SDRuno has been updated to include V1.32 in the near future as a special release of the diversity software for RSPduo owners. This is the updated sequence of releases planned by the SDRplay software development team:

1.32: Diversity (RSPduo only)

1.4: Plugin support (via documented API)
Remote client support
VFO IQ and audio recording
Automatic LO system (user just sets VFO)
Better support for multiple VRX use (improved settings support)
Improved INI file support (backup/restore)
Improved service support (restart/recovery)

2.0: Cross platform support (Windows, Linux/x86, MacOS) (MDK2's emphasis)

All versions will also include bug fixes and user feedback (where possible)

It is not possible to commit the exact dates of these releases but these are the priority for our software development team.

Spy Numbers / M08a on a HM01 broadcast
« on: May 16, 2019, 2122 UTC »
This is presumed since Iím not proficient in CW, but as of 2115 UTC Iím hearing morse code at 16180 kHz on my PL-600, clearly in AM mode. No sign of HM01ís voice and digital.

EDIT I am hearing HM01 as of 2123. Itís likely that it was in earlier in the hour and that I just missed copying the first half of the transmission.

EDIT Morse transmission ended at 2127. HM01 continues.
