Weak but fully copyable thanks to low noise floor. Instantly recognizable OM speaking about the usual topics.

Finding our favorite religious fanatic on the 25m band with the usual spiel. Signal isn't strong but I can make out some of what he's saying. SIO 222.
1757 signal improved to SIO 444 with some fades.

2217 "No Place" RÜFÜS DU SOL
2221 next song, but getting weaker here...

439
0303 "Love of the Mountains" Spencer Lewis per Shazam, good signal here in Colorado.
0306 OM voice, not good enough to comprehend here, into "The Post War Dream" Pink Floyd
0309 "Your Possible Pasts" Pink Floyd
0313 "One of the Few" Pink Floyd (guessing - shazam wasn't actually identifying the track)
0315 "The Hero's Return" Pink Floyd
0318 "The Gunner's Dream" Pink Floyd
0323 "Paranoid Eyes" Pink Floyd
0326 "Get Your Filthy Hands Off My Desert" Pink Floyd
0328 "The Fletcher Memorial Home" Pink Floyd
0332 "Southampton Dock" Pink Floyd (signal is starting to fade)
0334 "The Final Cut" Pink Floyd
0339 "Not Now John" Pink Floyd
0344 "Two Suns in the Sunset" Pink Floyd (had to lower the antenna due to some gusts, signal weaker as a result)
0349 OM speaking but can't understand him
I'll stop logging at this point due to weaker signal, but will keep tuned for the time being. Thanks for playing the full LP!
0352 more music (thanks DaveP for station ID)

0223 "One Thing Leads to Another" The Fixx
0238 "Low Rider" War
0242 "Eight Miles High" The Byrds
0248 SSTV:

0254 DDR recalling how the last show went and mentioning that I logged how that went... thanks for remembering! Into the next song. (Currently on the Elida OH kiwi SDR because reception's much better there. All SSTV is copied at my own QTH tho.)
0325 SSTV:

0331 "Sweet Jane" Lou Reed
0352 "I Remember California" REM
0402 SSTV:

0447 SSTV:

0501 "1969" The Stooges

My main request this year is that Drunken DJ sing Auld Lang Syne when it's midnight in the Eastern Time Zone (0500 UTC). (Thanks, Robyn did an interesting rendition there.)

0513 DDJ talking about what happened when he crashed after the last show back in September. Happy New Year to the right coast (0515).
0516 "Something to Talk About" Bonnie Raitt
0520 "21st Century Schizoid Man" King Crimson
0555 DDJ on the mic, basically hasn't been this straight after a full bottle of wine in a long time... still has two songs in the playlist to go through.
0556 "Imaginary Lover" Atlanta Rhythm Section
0612 SSTV:

0614 SSTV:

0617 QRT

Happy New Year!

Uncharacteristic strong reception here in Denver, somewhat marred by spatter from RHC on the adjacent frequency of 6145 kHz. It's sunrise at Moosbrunn so that's probably a factor.

Music, a bit off frequency, tuned to 6954.97 USB
2322 seems more on frequency now, decent signal here
2336 SSTV but I don't have MMSSTV up, followed by music at 2337... signal sounds off frequency again

Decent carrier strength but weak audio, music JBA. Carrier is closer to 6924.95 than 6925.
0425 off

444
Strong signal in spite of the late morning hour (local time 9:27 am as I post this, but listening since 1615z). Currently giving English lessons for Korean speakers. Tx is at Tinian. Signal currently SIO 455, was 555 when I first tuned in.

Transmitted from Issoudun, targeting South Sudan, fair to nearly good signal here in Colorado today. OM speaking in commentary/lecture style. Language is listed as "Sudanese Arabic" on the online shortwave schedules.

Utility / Shannon Volmet, 5505 USB, 02 NOV 2019, 0123 UTC
« on: November 02, 2019, 0124 UTC »
Came across the strongest copy I've ever had of Shannon Volmet while randomly scanning the bands with my IC-7100 and G5RV dipole. S9 peaks, SIO 333, clearly copyable weather information when usually Shannon is just a YL voice in the noise - when I can get it.

SDR - Software Defined Radio / SDRplay announces new RSPdx

I'm only going to link to the spec sheet here, but you can get the hoopla direct from sdrplay.com.

A rarity - an unjammed broadcast of RFA, transmitting from Tinian free and clear of any sign of CNR1 or The Firedrake. Positive Radio Free Asia station ID in English copied at 1630. Signal was very good at that point, however was fading by 1639 and nothing but a trace carrier by 1649. Likely the jamming signals were also being transmitted but not propagating to my QTH.

450
0147 weak to fair signal, music.
0149 off already?
0154 SSTV
0157 very weak music
0230 signal has been very weak, but folks on the rocket chat have been copying SSTV's including one that says "Damn Skippy" so I'm updating the ID based on that.

DAY AFTER PLAYBACK. Signal was there from at least 0144.

SSTV 0145:

SSTV 0154:

Checking through the SDR recording, there were times SSTV was faintly copyable corresponding to the images and timestamps reported by myteaquinn below, but nowhere near the strength needed to decode them with either MMSSTV or Black Cat SSTV.

Thanks for the show.
