"Hope I die before I get old" is a metaphor, don't take it literally

JEEZ, JEEPERS!!

I agree that personal connections promote peace. To the extent that radio promotes understanding between individuals, radio will promote peace.

By the same token, intermarriage between different cultures, ethnicities, and nations, promotes peace between the respective parties.

You can also use mass media, such as radio, to promote conflict between the same groups.

Pirate radio tends to empower individual expression, which tends toward anarchy, which is good in the right proportion.

Lou Reed was a great songwriter.

Those songs aren't for different audiences,

you are comparing apples and oranges.

One is commercial pop that tends towards saccharine conventionalities,

the other shows what a rock tune can be when you discard stupid conventions.

Pop music is for the masses, so it makes itself bland and generic to suit ordinary tastes.

Music like Lou Reed's is specific, therefore easily shot down by narrow pinched minds.

The C.I.A. loves Miami.

2 reasons:

A) Hot babes

B) Cuban cigars

C) We can make it snow like crazy in Florida, don't F.W.U.

The CIA made a mistake. They wanted it to snow in Miami Florida, and did Ohio instead.

Get ready for political instability, and regime change in Miami County.

Stock up on cheese and crackers, gold bullion, and fishing lures before it's too late.

I'm headed for the storm shelter, now.

God bless.
