A picture of Amelia in her playpen as an infant! And in color! Do you know how rare these are?

I've got a buddy who's an archivist at the Smithsonian. Would you like me to test the waters on what they might want to pay for it?

Stocking up on the "Baby Bella's" at Aldi's, Chris?

I normally just cut them into quarters after rinsing them, put them in a bowl, throw a medium shake of Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning on them, add some pickled banana pepper rings, shelled salted sunflower seeds, give it a good toss, and throw some shredded cheese on top. I call it "salad". My wife calls it "weird".

I rarely cook mushrooms unless it's something like an omelet, where they go in late and don't reach the limp slimy stage. Canned mushrooms should be outlawed.

That poor girl. At least they stuck a rag on her head to cover up a sizable portion of the worst part. Scarier than Belinda Carlisle, and we all know how she looks.

Spiffy mustache.

He resembles a brilliant CalTech scholar who went underground a century or so back for unknown reasons. The last rumor I heard of him was during the Second World War. Something to do with a ship disappearing from the Philadelphia Naval Yard and reappearing on top of a fellas house in Norfolk either by the name of Graves or Murphy, the last name varies. Ten seconds later it was back in Philly with the crew festooned in t-shirts promoting the presidential campaign of a rabbit back in 1904 and 1908.

I guess it's better than brain bubbles?

Or in a traditionally constructed shack on an uninhabited never visited island in Eastern Kiribati, then again, they would have procreated and built up a small village. ::)

The saga continues with another twist and turn, a lot like Roswell and the aliens who crash landed, denial and excuses and other various spin... :D

Have you ever seen photo's of Amelia? Fred would have stuck with holes in coconuts and thought of Eleanor Roosevelt.

Does the ARRL pay you for these postings, Al?

Mighty nice of FanCo to allow the U of AK to conduct tours for the public. Shut the gate so Radio Bob doesn't get out.

1985? I've met you, Dood. You must have been the youngest student to ever attend the U of AK. Did you start when you were two?

Looking Glass, I live in a mountainous, heavily forested state. There are a couple of B-17's and a B-25 that went down during training in WWII that still haven't been found. There was a forest fire a few weeks back in the general area the B-25 went down in, perhaps it will finally turn up?

To this day there are private and small commercial planes that go down every few years that are never found. It always occurs in the same region, where the first front high ridge of the W. Appalachians rises. The way the thermals set up there is extreme, with the downdrafts being the killer.

Just to the north you get the double whammy of hitting the western front range combined with smacking into massive turbulence the caused by the Allegheny Front 30-50 miles further on. Add in near constant low ceilings and it's pilot's joy to have to travel either east or west across.

Fair Radio had that stuff by the ton for years, Terry. It wouldn't surprise me if the still don't have pallets of it on the lot. They've probably got crates of MacArthur's pipe cleaners around that place somewhere.

Just look at the archaic knob technology on those rotors! No wonder the Germans lost the war.

He once sent me a post card of the lovely Flushing Depot along with a QSL. Glad to hear he still strides the globe like the colossus he is.

It's been ages since I've heard Radio Azteca, "The Station That Lifts And Separates". I wonder if he's doing ok? I loved those shows. Radio Azteca will always be one of my top two or three favorite pirate stations.
