Very very weak at my noise floor with occasional fade-ups. Time pips heard at 0000z TOH and then "That's All" by Genesis during another fade-up at 0007z.  No sign of Hudson County, NJ - did it finally drop back down to 10w?

I think you guys may be hearing 1660 WTOU, which has been spewing out harmonics up and down the x-band for the past week or so, including a big ugly one on 1709.

Started and ended with Gary Numan with a bunch of good 80s tunes in between.  Up to S9 here at times with occasional rapid fading but overall good.  It was great to catch WDOG on MW, thanks for the show tonight!

Thanks for the show, Redhat!  You're sounding great on my 1937 Sears Silvertone console tonight.

I started listening at 2000 and had absolutely nothing here in Michigan.  I checked back an hour later and had a very faint USB signal just slightly below the nominal frequency.  It sounds better on 15475.950.   The signal has been getting gradually stronger and it's now 2249 UTC and it's quite listenable here with nice music, occasional IDs and announcements.  2311 UTC now and it's still going with a nice signal.  Off abruptly at 2338 UTC mid-song so I left the shack and just walked back in to find them back on at 0034 UTC and still with a strong signal!

This is a weird one.  I can't really explain it but I'm sitting here in Michigan listening to Aruba air traffic control on 38.275 MHz handling flights inbound and outbound to Queen Beatrix International Airport in Aruba.  Best in FM mode but clearly an AM carrier present on the SDR waterfall.  This is being heard on several different radios in the shack (same antenna).  Aruba ATC is listed as 120.9 MHz and this is verified against the traffic that I'm hearing.  Obviously some kind of odd harmonic or mixing product that is propagating.

Antenna used is my 140 FT DKAZ terminated loop, amplified by a Wellbrook FLG100LN.

MW Loggings / WLOU Harmonic or Spur 1740 FM 0230 UTC 28 DEC 2022
« on: December 28, 2022, 0232 UTC »
I've been hearing this most nights in Michigan.  Seems to be a spur or some kind of harmonic of 1350 WLOU Louisville, KY. (soul music format) that's appearing on 1740 kHz FM.  Anyone else hearing this?
