ESP8266 has to be the cheapest and coolest thing there is right now. Everyone should get a ESP01 and a ESP01 to USB adapter or a NodeMCU just to have one to play with. Less than $3 from China via ebay.

I only built one for TV channel 11 (201 Mhz). Being all or nothing digital TV you could still tell it had gain in the direction it was supposed to. The dimensions are pretty critical. Check here.

I'm a big fan of creativity. What is your ground system and usfull range? Now that the nice weather is here I would like to try something. You can generate 800 or 1600 Khz with a $4 Aduino uno clone and use a $1.25 MP3 module as audio source/modulator.

DRM is dead. What is needed is an open source digital format for MW and SW.
As for part 15 AM don't you need to put the transmitter at the junction of your ground radials and 3 meter vertical? That is "outdoors". I would not pay that kind of money then put that thing outdoors.

I don't have one of the Tzumi units yet. I'm just getting started on Orange Pi Zero. I see they both use the U-Boot boot loader. What I'm learning about that should help. I love this cheap Chinese stuff!

I ordered some PL2303 USB to TTL adapters thinking something like this would be coming along. So where do you solder the pin header?
