1007 ID. Very clear, with email address.
1200 Checked back and heard last ID then dead air. TX went off at 1202 UTC.

Dutch music. Good signal throughout Holland and adjacent parts of Germany on various SDRs.

ID in Dutch at 0912 UTC.
ID again at 0941 UTC. Into a Dutch version of John Lennon's "So It's Christmas". This time caught them on a SDR with groundwave reception. Correcting the ID from "Radio Monique" to "Radio Uniek". (Radio Unique in English.)
Checked back at 1101 and still there. Playing typical organ music - the usual staple of many Dutch MW pirates.

Just happened to catch the interval signal while looking at SDRs. OK signal on west coast of North America. SINPO 34344. Some OTHR just lower in frequency.

0117 - "Why Do Fools Fall In Love"
0129 - "Won't Get Fooled Again". Propagation is shifting and the signal is weaker.
0215 - SSTV
0217 - off the air

Finally, somewhere I can go to get away from the neighborhood buzzies and interfering devices!

The lunar far side always faces away from Earth, so it's is free from interference from our planet's ionosphere, human-made radio frequencies and auroral radiation noise. Solar radio emission is also blocked during the lunar night.

Propagation / foF2 Map Discrepancy

Hey Chris,

I see quite a discrepancy between the Australian SWS real-time foF2 map:

and the equivalent map on the HFU propagation page:

https://www.hfunderground.com/propagation/#ionosphere

For reinforcement, I got some contemporary data from North American ionosonde data and it much more closely aligns with the SWS than the HFU maps.

Since there is really only one source for real time ionosonde data, I am going to assume that map on the HFU page is predicted by the software mentioned on the map and not based upon real time measurements. Correct?

I realize that recent ionosonde data is featured here, later on the page:

but I would think that this could be made a bit more clear.

Hear "their type of music" at 1915 UTC on 5140 on SDR in Switzerland. Reception is poor there, probably skipping over the RX. SINPO 13222.

Caught the moment of the very beginning of transmission on SDR screen and rolled over to the frequency. Good audio with UNID rock music. SINPO 44333 with some fading on RX in eastern Canada.

2221 TX off mid-song.
