They were new, but whether someone had bought the rights to them or it was the same company I couldn't say. The graphics were the same though.

Cracker Barrels used to be located mostly in the South, but they've spread over the past couple of decades. I've seen them as far north as PA and OH.

Umm..  nope. So we'll have to agree to disagree, but since when is this sub-forum closed to politics?  If that is the case, there are plenty of posts by other members that need to be corrected.

It's not a fez, but it is a snazzy cap. Do you think he was a foil man?

They were using the "Bearcat" moniker in those days, too, Token. Remember Betty?

I stopped in CB for quick look today and didn't see any. They still have the antenna kit, aka a "Slinky". From going through the CD rack I suspect the guy the who runs OTR is Cracker Barrel employee. Nothing but vintage radio programs.

"Ann Coulter is a ma...."

They were selling those in Cracker Barrel restaurants until just a few years ago. I haven't seen them lately. The same box and graphics.

Al, your kids are acting up!

Since Trump turned the black helicopters over to Al, he's nowhere to be found, but when he gets back.......

Do you boys use just foil like Pop's or have you included mylar to reflect the heat of the Sun? That heat build up is why he has to guzzle anti-freeze. Otherwise you get brain bubbles. Unlike what most people tell you, drinking antifreeze wont kill you if you follow the basic rule, shots only until you're partially blind. Top up weekly.

BTW, the Presidential rug is mylar lined. I don't know about his little red caps. Fez's would've been a better look. Imagine Trump coming down the street in a mini-car and a fez. That's a look that inspires.

One sounds like a TIS station, a man and woman reading what sound like traffic/weather reports. As for the other two, I'm hearing late 20's jazz with one and bits of old radio shows with the other. The last is so faint it may be the same station. Heard OM with some announcements but couldn't make it out. Moderate fades but all were just barley audible.

Check 'em out. For all I know it could be my fatigued ears and mixing products?

that have never died before. Where's Al?

Powerhouse signal but I was fighting with a cranky BFO and different audio filters. Once I got things tamed, they sounded good with a wide bandwidth for SSB. Of course, that was about 10 minutes before they signed off. I think that's some sort of dx'ers curse?

A good 20 over. Keep it up!

The Cap started out down in the mud but the signal came up quickly to steady S-6. Killer music and great production values. 435 simply due to climbing static levels. I came in on the Fabulous Thunderbirds tune. Another great show

Log 'em while you can, folks, the noise season will be upon us in full force in a couple of weeks.

I was fairly sure that's who that was. I was getting bits of music and talk on peaks, on and off after 23:00 UTC when I would check. That's not bad for a Euro considering the time of years and how far inland I am.

As Chris said, JRRI has a distinct sound. Once you've heard them, you know it when you hear them again. I was hoping they would come up some as the evening wore on, but it didn't happen.

Strong signal when I switched from the portable to a real radio during "Jamming". (Brother Stairs harmonic from 900khz up was killing the portable.) Then the bottom dropped out of the band around ten minutes. I heard the beginning of the dance music clearly and to switch to SSB to grab audio before it was over.  Sounded good until then. You might want to boost the audio a tad, it sounds like you've got plenty of carrier but the audio was just a little low. SIO 444. It was my bad luck the sweet spot moved on.

4049
I wondered who that was popping on and off around 6930 last night? Another solid signal on one that is is tough here. It's good when the atmosphere plays nice.

4050
Not since the days of Radio Metallica have I been able to hear a pirate using just the bar antenna in a portable You were knocking the crap out of it last night, Wolverine. Automatic 555.

Was it just my location, or were props excellent everywhere last night?
