Tuned in at 2238utc, good/fair sig, songs: "I woke up in love", "trouble trouble everywhere", "red baron", said "You're riding the TCS bubble gum express", said "tcsshortwave@gmail.com", more bubble gum music from the 1960's and 1970's. Edit: a bit of editorial here, now playing old 60's tune "Indian giver". In actuality it was white people who made treaties and broke all except one.

Big ten four good buddy. I remember picking up CHSJ from St John New Brunswick Canada back in the early 1960's when I was in high school. I forget what channel it was on. My location then as now was in Mt Prospect, IL 20 miles (32km) NW of downtown Chicago (but different house). Another time in the early 60's CBS2 in Chicago was unwatchable so I got out the ladder, got up on the roof and turned the antenna west. 2 channel 2's from Montana and another state took turns coming in with different programming. 3, 4, 5, and 6 were also full of stations. 7 - 13 not so much. 25 or 30 years ago I turned on the set on a Sunday morn and the dial was full of skip from 2 to 69. It was a real eye opener about what religious programming the rest of the USA watches. The hellfire and brimstone hucksters were nauseating. By contrast Sunday morning religious programming in Chicago was quite tame, mostly Catholic and some Jewish (yes this was Sunday). BTW, One time 2 years ago I did a rescan on my 40 inch 1080i TV and suddenly I was getting 16 and 22 from South Bend IN which is in the same direction as Chicago. Oh, one more, some years back I got a channel 4 from Quebec in French with a news program.

Tuned in late at 0300utc, poor/weak sig fading in & out, excellent program as usual, jazz/blues/pop xmas tunes, SSTV/FAX at 0308. Too bad I missed most of program due to other commitments. Edit, at 0310utc apparently repeating program of jazz/blues/big band xmas tunes. Thanks, I like these tunes, better than the drivel on regular radio even if reception is only improved to fair/poor. Edit at 0424. song: "I want an alien for xmas" at 0422utc. Now SSTV/FAX at 0424.

Tuned in at 2305utc, poor weak sig, hear bits of "Santa Claus is coming to town" as heavy metal (?).

Tuned in at 2233utc, poor sig, old beatles xmas tunes, I have it at approx 6950.5khz, did they move? Edit 2245utc, sig improving a bit, slow jazz version of "silent night" which segues into "aint no river wide enough" then into something else. Now chimes.

2413
Tuned in at 2205utc, fair sig, heard female singing rap or jazz/blues, now playing "Guantanamera". Edit at 2224utc, audio clips of g.w.shrub followed by heavy metal protest song "addicted to war". Was off when I came back from another freq. Nice program. Thanks. Seasons greetings.

S-on just B4 0000utc with comical faux Asian I.S., fair/poor sig, sed "radio ronin shortwave", played J Tull's "aqualung", now playing another tune from the 70's (teenage wasteland?). Fair reception even tho most of 7mhz dipole in pile next to house due to sick tree needing to be removed after it cracked and threatened neighbors garage.
