"Cold Cold Heart" by Hank Williams - now that's class!

Followed by "Cold Shoulder" by Johnny Cash ... I see the theme here ... as strong as they are at my location, I am guessing they're experiencing the same winter cold snap that I am.
 ;)

Just heard them come up with "Testing 1 2 3 can anybody hear me?"

They are literally pinning my s-meter here!

Signed off at about 0057Z. Who's next?
 :)

Also huge signal here. Not as strong as Radio Ronin but peaking 10 over 9.

I agree; great music, great quality and they are really strong here. Almost no QSB on them. Using TS850SAT as receiver and full-wave 40m loop antenna with peaks to east-west.

321
Very strong here. 30 dB over 9 in Urbana, IL.

When it peaked here it was S7. Unfortunately that was usually during music and it usually dropped down when any announcements were made. I think it's gone now at 0100Z.

I suspect it's WBNY. I heard "The Bunny News Network" announced. Also heard Kracker mentioned.

HF Beacons / Re: "OK" 3449.9

I've been copying it every night for at least a week now in east central Illinios. Lots of QSB on signal sometimes but still copyable. I have NOT been able to hear any of the beacons around 4080 kHz +- yet this winter.

Wolverine Radio extremely loud here in east central Illinois, pinning my s-meter on peaks and averaging 40 dB over 9. Great audio quality too, as others have noted. Been listening since 0145Z and now almost 0230Z. Thanks Wolverine Radio, great to hear you again!

Based on the music being played, I thought it was Radio Casablanca. I couldn't pull out the ID either. Just my guess.

Actually this was earlier - 0100Z. I wasn't listening past 0130Z. I did hear another weaker AM station on 6930 kHz after 0100Z too.

HF Beacons / CW on 8112 kHz?
« on: December 02, 2011, 1555 UTC »
On Dec. 2, 2011 at about 0522Z I stumbled across a CW station on 8112 kHz. It was very weak, in and out of the noise, mostly just below the noise level. When I first heard it I thought it was sending "W W W W W ..." but then it seemed to go into a plain text message of some sort. I only heard bits and pieces of it. It seemed to disappear at around 0530Z.

I do not think it was the M10 numbers station. It was not sending number or letter groups.

Has anyone else heard this and have more info on it?

Copied OK on 3449.8 last night, quite a good signal at times but some QSB into the noise.
