Wow, S9+10 here in SE Florida. A little QSB but still S9 then back to +10. ID at 0112Z. Great show, thanks.

Great video. You did a great job homebrewing that fine station. Very impressed with the HB modulation transformer. Reminded me of my early ham radio days on 6 meter AM.

Another opportunity for catching some tropo will be the ARRL VHF contest coming up this weekend. "The second full weekend of September. Begins 1800 UTC Saturday and ends 0259 UTC Monday (September 8-10, 2018)." More info at ARRL.org: http://www.arrl.org/september-vhf

There is a tropo group in the eastern US that gets together at 7:30 local on 50.145 usb.

Also I have caught some tropo openings listening to railroads on VHF and hearing distant defect detectors.  They automatically announce the railroad, mile marker, car count, and if any defects were noted. Look for hot bearings and dragging equipment. I usually listen to CSX on the broadcastify Folkston, GA receiver.

Started weak but has built to a nice S9 over the past 15 minutes. Some QSB

SSTV at 0130 and  off. Thanks for the great show.

Great signal in SE Fla. Jazz / Swing tunes. Crazy crazy party. S9
Party Girl at 0054Z. I detect a theme. :)

S5 in SE Fla. Some QRN but not bad. Easy listening on QSB peaks. Friend in SC copying them S9+10. We are on Skype so I am listening to both receivers.

They are transmitting on 40. Copied in SE Fla at 0038
0038  -16  -0.4    7.040097    0   WI2XFX        BP72     60   3767
60 dBm 3767 mi

First saw them spotted on dxwatch.com at 0014Z

I monitored tonight but don't think they were on the air. No spots of the HAARP station on wsprnet.org.  KL7L in Wasilla, AK was spotted on the west coast on 80 m.
I have spotted 9 stations including 3 in Europe. Greyline here now.

25
Readable but lots of QRN and QSB. Not real strong. I would guess a Memorial Day special.

26
2-2-2 A little stronger on QSB peaks.

Solid S9 in SE Fla. Great signal.

Received this one on the last pass just a few minutes ago. I the others I posted above were received using MMSSTV, Yaesu FT-857D and dual band j-pole. This one received with the Black Cat Systems SSTV PAD iPhone app from Chris with a RS scanner and a mag mount mobile antenna. Received some earlier today with the app also.
