Yup... power just went kapoof. Happens arounds here. Town is powered by two giant diesel generators and one should auto start when the other runs down, but it doesnt always.   Power going out kills our webstream.  Picked a short short song to get us back on track when things came up

They are surprisingly regular here and better than youd think

Very good reception, Farsi Service, from Woofferton.  Looks like one portion of RFE/RL is back to work.  Nothing like a crisis to get transmitters humming.

1903 2 YL's rotating broadcast duties, musical transition a couple of minutes into reception
1911 "Iran" mentioned
1912 Musical transition, OM speaks

Check swling.com/blog with a post for a schedule.

They turned back on a week or two ago, same with Marti

One hour every Friday of my live afternoon show from KSKO 89.5 McGrath, Alaska is simulcast on 250,000 Watt Shortwave Outlet Spaceline Bulgaria on 5900... 2100-2200UTC.  A Loud Mouth With Some Kickin' Rock N Pop Music on SW, Live Every Friday!

The partnership between me and Spaceline Bulgaria is done for not much more of a reason than to offer something different on SW while having some fun. I pik out a smattering of 80s and 90s AC Gold/Pop Gold/Rock music and play it on my live afternoon show a.

If you can't hear it at home, many SDR's in Europe can.

ZERO company/station or personal money is spent on this.

Shortwave Broadcast / 250KW Of Rock N Pop Music On SW Today!
« on: May 23, 2025, 1418 UTC »
We do this every Friday for an hour on 5900khz via Bulgaria to europe. It's a live relay of the KSKO 89.5 McGrath, Alaska lunch time show with yours truly. Its a smorgasbord of rock n pop music and tons of local info. If you can't hear it direct/locally, many SDR's will hear it.  The broadcast airtime is paid for by a generours benefactor.

reception reports go directly to ION.... ionradioshortwave@Gmail.com  the only reports that go to me are for the Friday 21utc broadcast from 5900khz Bulgaria.

At 1920UTC in Alaska I heard Vesti FM here

Good signal About s9+15 with christian music, actual modulation thats understandable. They're usually as bad as cuba and iran in the modulation department.

Heard an even better signal from them May 13th UTC morning

heard this one like twice in alaska in 5 years

Technology fascinates me sometimes.

KSKO is on shortwave every Friday at 2100UTC for an hour on 5900khz via Bulgaria to Europe thanks to a generous benefactor who pays for the airtime just to offer something different.

We feed Spaceline Bulgaria with our 128K webstream. I will often pull up the UTwente SDR from the Netherlands just to see how its being heard, etc

I did that this afternoon.. between our Comrex feeding Streamguys, streamguys feeding the Bulgaria transmitter and me listening to the UTwente SDR stream, the delay between when I transmit locally here and hear it on the SDR is only 10 seconds.

Quite astounding when you think about how many trips this audio stream is taking and how far its going.

A Live simulcast of the KSKO  lunch show with a bunch of music and local information on 5900khz via Bulgaria to Europe. It can be heard on numerous SDR's if you can't hear it locally.

Easy, Paul.  It's Mix Radio International.  They've been all over the place for the last week or so.  Very strong into Masset at 03:44 tune-in.  Frequency is 12100 USB even, and not 12103, although they might have dropped in frequency earlier.

no matter what i did with two different radios, it was hard to narrow down what frequency they were on
