Do you have an audio recording?
No. I can get one though. It's clear on the SDRs though

Never mind, I found it on a different kiwi SDR, but thanks for the quick response. The KB0FX one is too noisy at that frequency to copy much of anything right now. But I figured it out. 14670/2 = 7335, which is a Radio Marti frequency. The jammer has a harmonic. It's not deliberate jamming of CHU, just more sloppiness from Cuba.

I was abotut to say the same... as far as i knwo Cuba has only jammed legit broadcast stations but the jammy jam jammer masheen runs amuck with sporead spectrum action from time to time.

Theyre listed on Eibi almost every 5khz between 11510 and 11580 as Denge Gel, which is the new name for Denge Welat.

In alaska, ive only heard the turkish jammer... sometimes multiple frequencies in one day

Random frequency for Cuba to be jamming but it's on 6513 now (0223 UTC)

The spread spectrum jammy jam jammer masheen has obviously run amuck again, which it's been known to do.

Well hopefully it dies soon too like most of it's Radio Habanana counterparts.

I dont think so.. ive caught them Jamming 9565 2-3 hours after Marti has signed off that frequency.

S5-S9 fading as sun rises over California

Verified signal from KiWiSDR at Pintung, Taiwan

Programming:  Sounds like News format

Note:  This may explain why Peskies are on 6950kHz in the mornings PST

I can almost gaurentee thats not Sound of hop.. China jams them relentlessly.. im not sure anyone in the US, SDr or otherwise, has ever heard them.. and what i never see is anyone verifying it against an SOH strea,m, which im pretty sure they have.

If it sounds like a news format, then its CNR/CRI(CGTN)

This myth is really annoying. Many, many SOH frequencies are not jammed and I hear them regularly here. If it’s on an offset frequency, it’s SOH. Their programming is also easily distinguished from CRI. Trust me, try tuning in on 6900 or 6970 and you will hear them.

I've never bothered with asian languages.. when i run across them here, its going to N or S Korea. China or Japan 90 plus percent of the time, and hardly DX here.

Whats frustrating is people assuming its SOH just because thats whats listed..... and not verifying anything and not posting many program details

I havent heard 9675 or 9885 in over a year, havent heard 11820/1191.. whatever... in over 2 years.

11820 has been heard on sporadically in the last month or so.

I heard 9675 and 9885 twice since A24 started, but both are missing today.  I havent Heard Yemen, via Riyadh in months.. and a transmitter with a bad hum had been on 11860, the transmitter popped up on 11820 for a bit... Yemen appears to have come bac k on 11935

Shortwave Broadcast / Re: USA jamming Cuba now?
« on: March 26, 2024, 2241 UTC »
For the past week or so on 12000kHz when RHC (Radio Havana Cuba) is scheduled to be on there has been a jamming noise on it.
It's actually not a harmonic. The US is jamming the 12000kHz signal. I located the source to be from the Alabama/Georgia/Florida State line. It's strongest on the Tallahassee and Birmingham Kiwi SDRs
Supposedly, thats just a harmonic.

I've never gotten understandable audio out of 12000.. it's usually just a messy rumble pile of noise and s&^t

I highly doubt the US government is jamming 12000khz.. it makes no logical sense, why theyd jam what is/was at one point and is ntoed as such on some websites, as a harmonic of RHC.......

If they wanted to jam something, theyd jam an actual RHC broadcast like 6000.  I'm sure the US has jammed stuff in the past on SW, but no lately these days that im aware of... if they did, theyd be no better than China jamming RFA, etc

Hearing it on SDR's doesnt mean a ton with SW... doesnty mean its coming from the AL/GA/FL state loine and fort all we know its a ham or someone with too much time on their hands.

Heck, WJHR in FL on 15555 is it? Uses old beaten down ham gear ... im not saying its them, what im saying is.. its not toop hard to broadcast on SW.

And if it wasnt a harmonic of 6000, whosever jamming it is runnign serious power for me to hear it in AK
