Yes.. we were live but technical issues kept us from making it on the air until everyone had already gone to bed. We recorded the show though so maybe we play again comrades.

Seems to be silent here for the first time in a while too. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. 6771 point something mystery pirate...you are truly a hero. I salute you for having the balls to stay on as long as you did. I enjoyed hearing that Camel cigarettes were the number 1 brand recommended by 8 out of 10 doctors and all the other old time goodies and easy listening digs you sent out. Well done radio comrade. Well done.

On a side note...I find it almost difficult to believe an overseas Netherlands pirate can come booming in like this almost the entire day without enormous power. I actually thought I must be within that "umbrella" near the transmitter zone that can hear it all the time even when the band goes long. That's not to say I think Echo 1 is staging a hoax...I just don't know what to believe. Seems this station almost defies physics but then again I know very little about the science of propagation on 6.772. What do you think?

Echo One emailed me and said that this station is a coordinated effort amoung several volunteers in the Netherlands to broadcast Radio Ukraine International during this time of crisis. He says the station is called "Radio Free Ukraine". All signal reports and QSL requests should be sent to reportecho1@gmail.com and he will act as messenger to the parties involved.

Its actually still on. Never ended. Probably just faded out for you. I seem to be able to hear at least a carrier round the clock here.

Another strange thing is this seems to be fully automated like a commercial station. Switches to news at the top of the hour for 5 mins then seamlessly switches back over to programming as if there is elaborate computerized automation in control. "Murder at midnight" actually plays at midnight so some thought and work went into this.

Went to Radio Ukraine website and from what I saw when I clicked on "frequencies", they are entirely web streaming now and no longer on shortwave but I could be wrong. I think a pirate is relaying the streams and mixing in some of his own content.

Most of the day this station was broadcasting Radio Ukraine.  Switched to old time shows around 0000z

I know I have A.D.D. but I didn't understand the point of any of the monologue. Of course i was trying to make burgers on the grill and not paying full attention so its probably my bad. Anyway the signal is big here. S9 and sounding good. Hope the show repeats again this weekend so I can try to understand it better. Thanks for show!
