I recorded it in 2011 & 2012.

Told a friend about this and he's put the pressure on to make sure I record it this year.

He's going to get his own SW receiver in the next couple of weeks, so he can listen next year.

I can't DX at work as I'm in a tall office tower and that thing makes kills reception, except for the high power FM stations.

Then there's the WebSDR at Twente in the Netherlands.... but our stupid Internet proxy is blocking the network traffic that the Java thing uses.

So... have my TS-690S at home on the freq and a computer programmed to grab an MP3 of it at the appointed time.

As some people take March 17th off, maybe I'll start taking Feb 21st off.  ;D

So am I, but planning on recording it.

Radio Öömrang will be broadcasting their annual hour-long special on Feb 21st, 2013 on 15215 kHz 1600-1700Z on one of the Wertachtal transmitters with a smokin' 500kW at 300 deg.

Sure do! Plus, if I'm not around the SDR with C-QUAM, still can listen on numerous radios with AM, including in my car.

I tried listening to REE & RNZI with DRM and find only consistent demodulation with a very strong signal. What is just barely working would still be a good AM signal. I use SoDiRa for listening on the Perseus. Plus, the quality of the sound... it has some digital artifacting and is annoying. It also sounds sterile. With AM, it sounds alive.

QSLs Received / Radio Ronin Shortwave Jan 31, 2013 QSL

Was listening on a Sony CDX-GT570S in my car on my way home from work. First pirate received in the car. Using only a 31" whip on the trunk as the factory AM/FM amplified antenna doesn't work on HF and is less than ideal on AM. The photo in the QSL is what I took while listening to RRS. I won't mention I was driving... think I was stopped at the time.

Not owning the ionosphere, but far better than the past few months.

What does it sound like? Waterfall is kind of reminiscent of the buzzer on 4625.

Very nice. Have tried to grab them on occasion, but never have found them.

short-wave.info shows them on 0900-2130Z daily and the only broadcaster on 11600 at any time.

Will have to try and hunt them again... If I remember tomorrow morning, will try them before going to work.

'fraid I don't know... try listening at the top & bottom of the hour for and ID of that second station.

Listened here on 3920 at 0237Z (Feb 1, 2013) and not a hint of anything. But that means nothing. Tried a couple of remote receivers in the NE US (NY area) and heard nothing around 0242Z.

You have DRM on 3918?  ???
