Equipment / Re: Ten tec omni d

I would shy away from any Ten Tech product now. My understanding is they have been purchased and are going through some transition pains. Unless you can do any required repairs yourself or know a third party that can. No personal experience but lots of chatter about this recently.
I hesitated to post this but wanted to share what I have been hearing.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all. I love the graphics others have included in their posts.

Even with the noise here. I can tell there is music playing but can't tell what it is.

A couple of S units above the noise, which is very low tonight. Just a bit of QSB.  ID at 0206.
Thanks for the show.

Signed off at 0244 after several SSTV images. Great copy on all of them, 5 I think. My MMSSTV program isn't working properly so I can't post the images.

I looked last night about 2 Z and nothing. Could be someone is testing into a dummy load close to you.

The AM frequencies on 160 are 1.885, 1.900, 1.945, 1.985. From the ARRL web site. I kind of miss the old days of AM. Some days I wish I still had my 6M AM rig. Real AM, high level plate modulated.

Never seen that, but I don't look at 160 very often. Usually on 40 rx/tx or listening on 0.4742. Looking at 160 now and not seeing anything like that. Using Spectran V2 and WSPR 2.12. I have Spectran slowed down and resolution expanded. That looks like about an 8 minute period.
I did note reports of good conditions on 160 on the NA/EU path.
I am receiving about 6 different stations on 160 right now, all in the South and upper midwest. I do not have a transmit antenna for that band, so listen only.

And welcome to the group.

SIO 333 with some some intermittent pulse type noise. Noise gone now making it a lot easier to listen. Some QSB.

0138 Mentioning the HFU listeners. Thanks for the shoutout.

Software / Re: Decoder Software for Windows 10 Suggestions?

I use fldigi. Free and download links here http://www.w1hkj.com/
Lots of modes, including CW, PSK, RTTY, WEFAX and many more.
Just plug your computer audio in into the radio audio out.

Chris has a DGPS decoder program here: https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,29766.0.html
Lots of fun to play with. I am using it with Win 7 but he tested it with Win 10.

333 also. CW copied here also. X-2

Flexoman61, I have been using a narrow bandwidth receiver also (Kenwood TS-480) and have found Spectran useful to find the stations. They have a distinctive appearance.
Great program, lots of fun. Thanks Chris.

Cool. I need to build me a loop. Could always test it on 475 kHz WSPR. I posted some additional information here:
