Good S8 signal here with selective fading at 2140 UTC. Big Band swing tune in progress, into WW2 special bulletin from Guam at 2141 UTC. The Marines singing a special song from the front at 2147 UTC. Same show as yesterday. 2220 UTC Signal getting better as the darkness approaches here.

12092
Finished up my last minute shoveling snow outside and take off my boots and then I had to put on my dancing shoes! Solid S8 here at 1729 UTC tune-in a few hertz below 6948.2 KHZ. Electronic dance mix tune, into ID by L.T. at 1731 UTC. More dance mix tunes, Echo ID at 1747 UTC mentioning "Breakfast With Boombox" and email for reports...into another dance mix until 1752 UTC when off abruptly.
{Hey L.T.! I already had breakfast hours ago...this should be the "Lunch With Boombox" show! Thanks for the show anyway....always nice to pick up those tired feet and enjoy a little early afternoon rave!}

12093
Just barely above threshold level here at 0224 UTC tune-in. Now and then I hear surf music clearly...clear ID as "This is Black Cat Radio" at 0228 UTC. There was someone at strong level breaking in over broadcast briefly at this time. Tough copy! I hear nothing but band noise now at 0232 UTC. Off?

12094
Solid S5 signal here on 6950 KHZ USB ONLY due to massive RTTY ute QRM on LSB. Some het from the ute, but not real bad.
0125 tune-in "Meet Me On South Street"-Orlons
0126 "Dancing In the Streets"-Martha & the Vandellas
0129 Unid "street" song! I've heard it before, but can't remember the name
0132 "Street Fighting Man"-Rolling Stones
0135 "Love Street"-Doors(next tune I don't know...sounded like Mama Cass
0144 "Taking It to the Streets"-Doobie Bros/Michael McDonald
0149 Song by Joni Mitchell off of Hissing of Summer Lawns(I'm sure it has street in it...can't remember the name.) The song after that I have no clue!
0204 Man announcer with "Wolverine Radio" ID, into SSTV(which I don't have the equipment to decode!...maybe someday...)
0210 After an UNID tune, off abruptly
{Thanks for another theme show...also thanks to Mr. Farley and Mr. McArdle for the street themed SSTV scan!}

Killer signal here with kick arse metal tune...S9+ with excellent AM audio seemingly spot on 6925 KHZ at 0028 UTC tune-in...sure is different than the WW2 swing tune on today's earlier show! The peskies are gunning their motors in a futile effort to escape!
0034 UTC DJ Dick Weed and Co giving the business to Brother Stair...dedicated the next song to him
0036 When Heaven Comes Down-Dokken
0046 T-shirt plug, then into chatter about the Bud lite commercial and Whatever. Off abrupt after email offer of the QRM program, "Do Whatever...QRM"
{Another off the wall show Mr. Dickweed & Co...there was one stubborn pesky weakly heard under the QRM...think he was preaching in Spanish....he didn't stand a chance!}

Huh? / Re: Pirate Philosophy
« on: February 08, 2014, 2018 UTC »
If indeed they are able to log the signal out there on some distant extrasolar planet, I want the plans for their antenna...
 Hey...I just remembered that episode of the "Outer Limits" where the guy contacts an extraterrestrial. It was one of the early episodes...I was maybe 8 or 9 when it was broadcast and was into shortwave at that time. My parents bought me a telescope for Christmas that year.

2011 UTC Song {jazzy instrumental swing intro then woman vocalist}
2020 UTC Newscaster reading blurb about surrender of Germany, into Song-"There I've Said It Again"{Always thought this was a Bobby Vinton tune!}

QSLs Received / TIP & ELVIS SHOW eQSL
« on: February 08, 2014, 0136 UTC »
Received in 43 days a full data eQSL for an email report for reception of the "Tip & Elvis Christmas Show" on December 26, 2013 from 0655-0712 UTC on 6210 KHZ. The QSL is a picture of the transmitting tower and equipment. Broadcast stated as 500 watts! Thank you very much Tip & Elvis!!! I really appreciate this reply!
Update 2/10/14...When I downloaded the eQSL, it was a 5.4 Meg microsoft doc file. In order to convert to a JPEG, I had to do a print screen, then paste in PAINT, crop, save as jpeg. I accidently shifted the verie details on the template so they were covered by the antenna mast! It appears that the QSL is a composite of top, bottom, and verie details. So much for Windows XP...corrected QSL reposted below.
