General Radio Discussion / Cowboy Stan crosspost

This is from the FRN:

We lost an amazingly funny guy and great friend to many of us.

Cowboy Stanley passed away over the weekend.

He was a creative and technical force behind The Voice of Laryngitis. Stan was also an avid radio enthusiast across the entire spectrum as well as a devotee of tracking Monarch butterfly migrations across North America.

Good Bye Stan. We’ll miss you.
Now the cough is very silent.

Thank you for deciphering that end bit. I listened to it about 15 times & was about ready to pull out the headphones to figure it out.

Thanks for the show!

Here, too, with a mostly excellent signal. Went to bed, but had the recorder running. Listening to it right now. I must have recorded my time incorrectly because I have the sign on as about 0529 UTC.

Thanks for the shows, Dr. Benway!

Yeah, I agree! Signals are making it across, but there's a lot of noise. Sounds almost like summer

Really nice signal here, but mod sounds low. Tuned in while hearing Fearless talking, then into Nugent "Dog Eat Dog." Great to hear Fearless again!

2159 ran downstairs to the SX-96 & the Joe Cocker sounds great on this receiver. Not sure if he adjusted the audio or if the SX-96 just sounds that much better.

Thanks for the show

Hey Sealord, thanks for IDing this. I found it last night, too, started recording it at 0224. The announcement at the end was weaker for me and I couldn't copy it. I also had some pescadore audio throughout. Not sure, but I think it was off the air part of the time.

If the op is out there & interested, I also have an audio file.

Thanks for the test!

Missed the ID, but this is Rave On Radio per FRN. Really old country music. Sig not as good as Radio Ga-Ga, but fairly clear

Thanks for the show!

Very nice sig this morning, peaking at S7 "This has been a live broadcast from Zipper Lake from Radio Ga-Ga. Thanks for tuning in" and off at 1356.

Thanks for the show!

Checked online to see if anyone was on & ran upstairs in time to catch the end of Diarrhea Jones talking about his dependable pants. Garage rock, Vox ad, ending talk with Peter Ivers, then funeral dirge. WEAK IDs throughout. Really great combo of entertaining show & huge signal...about S9+20 here. Thanks much to all involved!

Just turned on the radio, heard a quick computer ID, then a bit of country music, & off. Probably about a total of 10-15 seconds. Nice signal. Not sure if it was USB or AM (and I was fortunate enough to have it tuned right on the carrier)?

Thanks for the show!

I didn't write down all of the letter groups this time, but a number of them were the same as from the last ULX transmission. Not sure if it was the same transmission otherwise. And, someone is having fun with the ID. This time is was announced as LXU four times before signoff.

Pretty good sig & I have a recording if the op is interested

Please QSL...
