Received on the 16:07 Z pass today. I was listening yesterday also but apparently they didn't transmit. Great signal. Noise bars probably due to my antenna. I was using a dual band J-pole at about 15 ft. Receiver was a Yaesu FT-857D.

S7 here with noise S1, really strong. ID at 0123
Update 0210: I was watching Jerry Lee Lewis singing Great Balls of Fire on YouTube and almost missed the SSTV. Got it in time though.

Solid S5 with some higher peaks here with a very low noise level.

Back on at 0210 with music. Not real strong but above the noise.

Horrible. Condolences to you and your family. And yes, God bless his soul.

About a full S unit above the noise here. Good signal, easy to listen to but not easy to understand.
As an aside, I managed to work Ascension Island on 80 last night (3450 kHz). 400 watts and my vertical. I was a happy camper.  :)

Good story and LOL at JCM.

Pigmeat, I see skeezix got an answer up before I saw the question. Sorry for being so slow.

They won't be using the tower / antenna at the Jupiter, Fl. LORAN site. All gone. I miss it when driving down US1. It just doesn't look right.

Good read. Thanks for posting the link.

A bit above the noise, not bad copy. Lots of static crashes from the t-storms in MS. and TX.

I am really rusty on this stuff, but it looks like RV2 sets the bias on Q3. Have you tried adjusting it? The schematic shows it should be adjusted for 1.7 to 2.5 VDC at TP.

The next thing I would try is disabling Q3 (remove the 12 V) and listening to the signal without the benefit of the final amplifier.

Again, really rusty on this stuff, hopefully someone more knowledgeable will comment.
