I am also tempted to take up Radiorelay`s offer and send it to him...but not sure if I want to spend more money shipping and repairs.
ill cover the shipping - if you like, i can send it back to you if i get it repaired (provided its reasonably inexpensive for me to repair it) - no cost to you for repairing it

most of the law enforcement vehicles in the US are equipped with MDT's and as such, sensitive information is generally transacted on them.
the countywide 800Mhz trunk system here used for the county police as well as other local government entities is eventually going to transition to P25 phase 2 at 700Mhz (non-encrypted for dispatch) but has not yet completed the full transition due to budget constraints and other issues.
for now, it is the "hybrid" motorola system consisting of 99% analog transmissions with tactical/surveillance units using digital "in the clear".
i sure do miss the "old days" when law enforcement used VHF/UHF repeaters, at least the town that i live in which is not part of the countywide trunk system, still uses VHF/UHF repeaters though their vehicles are equipped with MDT's.

ah yes, finally able to listen to Mix at 10Khz audio on my Kiwi, very pleasurable sounding 8) - strong at S9.
thanks for the work day tunes Mix, happy new year to you.
1814 - moved to 6003Khz

81
thanks for the tunes - happy new year  8)
edit - i get it better on the Uniontown Kiwi MDK (which is why i left the Maine Kiwi) - happy new year to you MDK
unfortunately, the Uniontown Kiwi is not enabled for 20Khz BW (10Khz audio), so its limited to 12Khz BW (6Khz audio).
1722 - my current favorite song and i didnt even request it  8) - Lord Huron "when the night is over" - HF pirates are awesome

82
listening on my own Kiwi @ S9 peaks (SSTV measured)
thanks for the daytime workday entertainment - happy new year !

83
thanks Mix - my favorite tunes and strong on my own Kiwi too  8)

84
always enjoy SW programming from pirates during the daytime workday  8)

listening but strongest on Jumonville, PA Kiwi - i see the carrier on my Kiwi but too weak for audio, likely too close to me.
1752 - good classic one - "nothing for nothing"
1755 - cant understand it but an OM with heavy echo  ;D
1756 - off

86
i hear this on my own Kiwi pretty strong, S9 - wideband up to 20Khz - this is the first time i am receiving a pirate at a strong level on my Kiwi.
at first i thought it was DSB but then switching to I/Q showed FM, switching to FM showed nothing.
went off the air at 1602.
1609 - back on the air - heard something "hey relay.." couldnt understand the rest, the voice sounded like "The Crusher" - strong on my Kiwi at S9 - sounding good with jazzy tunes.
1614 - off the air after fade out of current song.

87
not hearing this on any other Kiwi SDR except for Jumonville, PA with about an S5-S7
this pirate reminds me of "Liquid Radio", same music content and same frequency.

88
thank you Mix for playing my request "Lord Huron - When the night is over"

Had a very strong carrier, no audio,  between 1700-1705, testing maybe?
