I always wondered who "R. F. Burns" was. Now we know, just like we found out a few years ago who "Larson E. Rapp WIOU" was after he passed away.

R.I.P. Mr. "Burns."

Well, it IS Eve Arden's birthday! April 30, 1908.

I have been studying Darkeology for many years. There are some interesting theories! Especially the ones about some things only sucking dark of a certain color.

This kind of runs parallel with the theory that all electronic components are manufactured with a certain pre-measured quantity of "magic smoke." If you accidentally let the smoke out, the device ceases to function. Some of them even become dark absorbers. Vacuum tubes fit in a special class because their smoke is invisible.

Well, it looks like they've covered the topics of "see" and "feel" recently. I wonder if "smell" is next?   :)

Someone is sending SSTV right now. I'm recording it. Hopefully I can decode it. Lots of static crashes here.

Whoops, done now and gone at 2332.

Another one at 2343Z!

I didn't hear the station coming on at first. Playing something from zombie show. Then music.
Strong signal, 10 over 9 some fading, 55444.
Guess I'll miss the rest; gotta run.

I think station came up while I was in the other room. Signal OK, about S6-S7, 35443.
0055 Rolling Stones, Street Fighting Man
0059 Bob Dylan, Just Like A Woman
0115 No ID that I can make out yet. Static crashes getting worse here.
0120 Seems to be gone now.

Thanks for the show, whoever you were!

Yes, you're right. That's where the logo came from. But it's obviously been altered, Photoshopped. I'm pretty sure my translation is correct. The writing on the second SSTV image is clear enough to read. I guess only the sender knows for sure!

Actually, I just played with the processing AGAIN for about the fourth time. The first word is the one that's really hard to make out. The second and third words are definitely "THE HARE". Maybe the first word is "RULE" which would make it "RULE THE HARE". That would make more sense.

The symbol on that first image looks REALLY familiar to me. I just can't quite place it. And I can't quite make out the text, either.

Actually, I just did some processing of the first image and the text in the box appears to say "RAPE THE HARE".

A USB signal with highly distorted audio showed up for half a minute. Someone trying to sing the melodic notes from "Close Encounters Of The Third Kind," then said something unintelligible, then gone.

Back again briefly at 0246.

I've been sitting here listening to WWVH on 10 MHz since 0430Z. It's now 0455. It sounds like someone is jamming them. Not much they can do about it now, I suppose.

Just tuned in at tail end of Lovely To See You Again. Great signal here. 55555 at the moment, peaking better than 20 over 9. Great music, too. Now playing Long As I can See The Light by CCR.
0156 I've Seen All Good People by Yes. Guess the theme tonight is "See."

Found this thread, Googled some images and WHAM........there on the first page was my boyhood best friend.
A Lloyd's portable I spent a whole summer cutting grass to purchase.
Spent many a sleepless night surfing the HF bands with this POS.

That looks a LOT like the radio I started with. But the one I had went under the name of "Passport" and I think it had a band switch instead of buttons. It was stolen out of my car in 1980. I haven't been able to find any info or photos of that radio.
