I've been tuning back and forth to this one for some time. All I can really report is they're having conversation in English but the signal is too weak and fluttery to make much out. Deep fades with some QRM from the TIS station when they peak together. SIO 231. Anyone else hearing this?

OM announcer with news and music. Not a bad signal considering their nominal 500 watts goes into a NVIS antenna system. They've been an easy catch here most of the fall. SIO 243

Huh? / Al, your ex's brother Vlad is in trouble again.
« on: November 03, 2015, 2250 UTC »
Riling up the Muslims in Syria and pushing for warm water ports in the Ukraine.

We both know his problem is he's short. If your rail gun is set up, bean him in the head with a titanium coated tangerine. I'll send you his location, you can't miss that shiny scalp. The knot should give him three or extra four inches and might knock some sense into him. God knows the lifts we sent him didn't do a damned thing.

Personally, I'd send in penguin sappers to shut down the ports of Murmansk and Vladivostok after his hijinks over the past couple of years. Make the Russian SOB eat bark and grass this winter.

The entire situation is akin to putting Kracker in charge of a third rate convenience store. "No Gas for you!" "Sell you cigarette for dollar!" "Nyet, all Goat Porn mags belong me!" "Dah, I standing up pally! You want dance?"

Huh? / A new Bacon's Rebellion......
« on: October 28, 2015, 1314 UTC »
After the announcements yesterday by the World Health Organization regarding processed and red meats, I find myself compelled to call for a modern Bacon's Rebellion to take down these so called protectors of our health.

No Spam, Treet, bacon, burgers, ham, etc....... what kind of right thinking individual can stand for such slanders being raised against them? None, I would say.

Before you Jewish and Muslim guys say, "This isn't MY fight", I say "Hah!". No pastrami, no corned beef, no lamb, no goat, no dried beef products..... We're all in this together.

South Asians who follow Hinduism and Buddhism? No more dried smoked fish or fish sauces. It's not just bacon and hot dogs.

Let us rise against the World Health Organization and send their officials to the bottom of the Hudson to sleep with the fishes.

I thank you.

Al, you're an Uber Geek. The next time you're in L.A. punch this guy in the face and give him multiple swirlies for having both the stupidest name in the world and imitating a scientist.

I'd do it myself but I'm currently banned from SoCal for referring to the Kardashian's as gold digging whores. I knew gold digging whores were major industry in the region, but when did they start passing laws to protect them from being called what they are?

This next one is for the group.

If Kim Kardashian were to climb Mount Everest, would her butt implants explode due to the lack of atmospheric pressure, or would they contract into her anus from the cold? Feel free to speculate.

I think they would contract, turning her inside out, leaving her to talk out of her ass like her mother, but that's just an educated guess.

She doesn't believe penguins are venomous. Should I take her to the nearest zoo and have her watch what happens when I toss kittens into the penguin pool, or show her the footage of what happened to your SO's cats when you did the same the last time she was out of town?

I await your Solomon-like answer.

Huh? / Bridgestone World Solar Challenge race
« on: October 20, 2015, 0343 UTC »
Is in Australia this year. I couldn't help but notice that CalTech doesn't have an entrant. Are they still resting on the laurels of their great solar powered toilet that wowed the crowds in 2012 or have they lost that old Fleming pluck and never say die attitude?

MIT, Stanford, Michigan.... they're all there, but no CalTech. Are they scared of the penguins native to the host city of Adelaide? The Galloping Beavers absence perplexes me.

Huh? / Danger, Al Fansome! Danger!

I'm casually watching a tv show from Busch Gardens Zoo in Tampa. When I look up they're discussing penguins. I'm thinking, "Penguins....Central Florida..... Nonsense!" Then the other shoe drops, these are South African Penguins native to conditions similar to Florida.

I began to think about all of the things you've told me about the evils of penguins over the years. Then it hit me, Busch Gardens is the beachhead for a penguin invasion! I wouldn't doubt that the fiends at that place have been milking penguin venom for years.

Before your recent illness, did you notice pinholes in the surface of your unprepared food? I'm beginning to think you were a victim of a gang of penguin poisoners led by a certain lagomorph.

Be careful old friend, there's a plot waddling around you.

Huh? / Two possible "alien" discoveries, one common cause.
« on: October 16, 2015, 1955 UTC »
Recently brine and methane were detected on Mars. Results are now in, the brine comes from jars of pickled eggs, the methane from a pickled egg loving repairman sent to fix the Mars Rover by the United States secret space program.

1600 light years away news broke that a giant "alien" structure may surround a star in our galaxy. Wrong. The same repairman forgot to take down the tarps after painting said star.

However, the true nature of the Kepler Space Telescope has been revealed. It's purpose is to keep an eye on the handiwork of the CalTech grads JPL hires to keep all of creation from flying apart. Due to the rise of private space companies, JPL's pool of potential employees has decreased significantly. JPL has found themselves having to dip into the "special" scientist pool at CalTech aka "Fansome's". Due to their limitations Fansome's have to be closely monitored, thus the true mission of Kepler.

Remember CalTech grads, don't be a Fansome, clean up after you've finished the job.
