These number and tone stations are nothing more than Al Fansome making his presence known. It gets lonely out there in the Great Beyond. Post "Hello Al" and it should stop.

Thanks for playing that old Jim Carroll song, Bud. Jim was quite the guy, all NYC Catholic League Basketball player and a member of Andy Warhol's Factory scene at the same time, wrote the autobiographical and acclaimed book "The Basketball Diaries" about his descent into drug addiction. Patti Smith talked him into cutting the album, "All The People Who Died" was on, "Catholic Boy." "The Basketball Diaries" was made into a movie starring Leonardo diCaprio as Jim, it wasn't much.

Carroll died early in this century.

Especially to guys who blast away at high tension power lines with slugs from their 12 gauges. Back in the day the SDS used dynamite to take the towers down.

I agree with Dr. Zeeky's diagnosis, there is no reason to play John Denver, ever.

As Radio Bob used to say, "Oh, those guy's from Athens." Got to do something, but I'll be back to tune in if you're still there. Best band I ever saw live when Stipe had hair.

I've got a paper copy of that QSL that's close to 25 years old. A belated thanks, Doc!

Either Frey or Henley was a Philosophy major at Arizona State. "Hotel California" was lifted straight from Jean-Paul Sartre's existentialist classic "No Exit". The Hotel California was a place the unaware dead went in "No Exit".

My Sr. year of college I blew off a class to see Lionel Hampton. I snuck in a side door as they stopped letting people in. Who did I run into? My professor, he was doing the same thing I was. We just smiled and nodded.

I ran 14 watts of carrier, was 400 miles from the Atlantic and was occasionally heard in Europe. As Fearless Fred once said, "That RF has to go somewhere." It's all about antenna, time of day, and propagation. Mostly I was heard regionally.

Why there was a Dx'er in Italy named Giovanni who used to hear me all the time, even when I wasn't broadcasting. I worried about him.

Straight up, I did know a guy who experimented w/a 1 watt AM transmitter and was heard up and down the East Coast. I never got word if Giovanni heard those tx's?

Paul, that avatar look's like it was taken on the set of the old "Gong Show". Were you the "Unknown Comic"?

"The Teenage Goo-Goo Muck". Some kind pirate has been paying attention to my online requests.

I can remember in The Cramp's early day's, Lux and Poison Ivy would go out in Hollywood. If they weren't getting pointed and laughed at, they would go back home and change clothes. They and The Blasters were the house bands on the USA Network's "Up All Night" show in the very early 80's.

The Pixies and The Breeders, a double dose of Kim Deal. Both band's shared the same drummer, too. Jim something or other.

Kim left the Pixies and swiped him to boot A girl as cool as Kim Deal get's what she wants. Sorry I missed it.

B-Side Radio needs to get hold of "Seasons In The Sun". The B-side had Terry Jack's reaming out everyone he thanked on the A side.

just sent me a picture of a deadly manatee hawk lurking over a spring containing Belinda and her friends. Isn't there anyone in Florida who will save them?
