Huh? / Re: Fusion breakthrough at Sandia Labs?
« on: September 26, 2014, 0210 UTC »
I recall reading recently that the costs involved in reaching the break even point were astronomical. If we want fusion power, all we have to do is set off a nuke and run a power line from it, or maybe take a trip to the sun and get some there...we could always go at night....

« on: September 25, 2014, 0125 UTC »
Same here until 0053 UTC. The pesky on 6925 LSB made AM impossible...even bleeding over into the USB.

Had this too for a few minutes after the Liberty Network ID at 0000 UTC. Somebody doing a little testing?

S9 signal here with early 60's sounding tune. Nice Audio!

North American Shortwave Pirate / Re: unID 6929 LSB 0111z 9/22/14
« on: September 22, 2014, 2242 UTC »
I listened back on the recording and after the song "Drops of Jupiter" by Train was cut short, a man was talking about freemasonry and the masons...cryptic phrases like "strange and mysterious name". After that the "ambient" music sounded more like background music to a Twilight Zone or Outer Limits story with a woman saying something like..."help me my head needs another body". Snippets of song followed before Deguello....seemingly off abruptly. No ID's and I had good reception here, despite some ute and pesky QRM. Another mystery ???

Huh? / Re: Trolls
« on: September 22, 2014, 2140 UTC »
Merriam-Webster says Machiavellian means..."using clever lies and tricks in order to get or achieve something : clever and dishonest"... So it must mean Politician! Anyway, trolling has severely depleted our fish supplies and is the reason we get dolphins in our tuna. This must stop or we'll never get rid of those damn pescadores yakking all night long because there ain't no fish left to catch...

North American Shortwave Pirate / Re: unID 6929 LSB 0111z 9/22/14
« on: September 22, 2014, 0128 UTC »
Had to turn the PC back on and log into HFU to report this one! Tuned in at 0110 UTC but it took me a minute or so to realize it was LSB. Same details as Rafman. 0119 UTC the Song was cut short, then a man talking at 0121 about something followed by ambient music. Strange, but I doubt this is a pesky...

Off at 0127 UTC as I was posting the above...hmmm...very unusual ??? Will have to listen back on the recording tomorrow. Thanks for the mystery whoever you are! :)
