Huh? / Now that Zimbabwe is yours, Al...

what's next? A march east to the sea in preparation for an invasion of Madagascar to remove the Penguin menace there or a move south to the the Cape of Good Hope to sharpen your troops hand to beak fighting skills against the Penguins of the Cape before launching your amphibious assault on Madagascar?

A word of advice; don't pay a bit of attention to that nonsense Churchill spouted back in 1940 about fighting them "on the shores and on the beaches." Nazi's may not be much there, but Penguin's have a huge advantage in the surf and on the shore.

Good luck and I call dibs on that running dog imperialist stooge King Babar. Now where did I put my yellow hat and elephant gun?

I thought it was sacrilege when I heard a Ramones song used in a TV commercial 25 years ago. I just heard The Pixies "Here Comes Your Man" in one just a moment ago.  The world has gone to Hell.

BTW, is just me, or was Kim Deal the toughest looking member of The Pixies? The rest of them were about as scary as a basket of kittens.

Speaking of late 80's bands, my kid saw the Dead Milkmen at the Trocadero in Philly a few nights back. Nothin' like getting to sing along to "Stuart" with the Milkmen in their hometown. She said "My life is now complete."

I'd be willing to bet you won't ever see Coors using "Stuart" in a commercial.

Dem Bums will always let you down, Al.

I've had them for the past half hour blasting on peaks of 20 over. SS orchestral corridas w/ a female singer. I'm guessing it's the same station reported here on the 12th.

Huh? / Al, about your SO and your GF....

When they were up here, I couldn't tell them apart. They told me they were identical cousins. I've never heard of such a thing, but they said it was common in Brooklyn Heights, where the one said she was originally from.

You still owe me for the Mormon wedding undies I bought for the girls. Pay up.

has appointed his sister Joyce to a prominent spot in the family business. As you and Joyce were quite the item, I've got to think this is a hint for you to do the right thing, marry the girl and move to scenic Pyongyang. Besides, he only bumps off blood relatives. You'll be fine.

Huh? / Al, there will be no further remakes of "Sex In The City"
« on: October 01, 2017, 0716 UTC »
with the original cast. Sarah Jessica Parker is now free to play the role she was born for, that of "Mr. Ed" in the eponymous TV series remake of the 60's classic. Will Matthew Broderick play "Wilbur"? Negotiations are going on as I write this.

It's a little known fact that the original Mr. Ed was played by a filly, too. It's funny how things come full circle. Do pass the feedbag and the Wilburinee, Alfy.

I wake up this morning, the world is still here, Al's women are gone, and there's a note on my front door saying, "Take that! Al."

At least I have my Mormon drawers as a memory. I hope he treats those girls better than that howling sea-cow he left in the neighbors pool. All I could say when I saw it was, "Oh, the huge manatee!"

Both his former S.O. and his current gf, both of whom are natives of hurricane country, when asked for comments said, "He's nuts!" and "You said it, sister!"

When asked what their plans were they replied, "We're going to go stay with that good-lookin' Pigmeat!" The former S.O. chimed in "Yeah, he's a real he-man! He never tried to leave me for a sea-cow named Belinda."

I've got company coming. Good luck on the roof, Al!

Huh? / Al, you can turn the Sun back on now.
« on: August 21, 2017, 2029 UTC »
Thanks!

Actually, I saw some first class idiocy when the eclipse came close to peak. A guy across the street and his buddy, set up lawn chairs to watch it, aimed directly towards the Sun, and did just that w/o eye protection. Why do I see a visit to the ER for those two later on today?

Immediately after the peak, a couple of minutes, tops, came a big rush of traffic piloted by people who I'm sure thought, "It's past peak, it can't hurt me now?", all taking looks directly at the sun as they did. Only a couple of ambulance sirens in the aftermath so far, but it's now entering rush hour, w/ people leaving work encountering the now partially blind who are trying weave their way home from that post-eclipse rush. It should be a good evening for idiot watching at the ER for you folks in regions of 90% totality or better. As there wasn't a cloud in the sky here, I'm taking the "over" on ER visits around the region.

It seems all of us old farts get up about the same time. Is that a good or bad thing?

178
and smashing windows in your part of the country? I knew the first time I met that kid that Billy G. Fansome was going to be a bad one. As mean and horny as his daddy.

Al, set that young buck straight, you old goat!

It's been ages since I've heard Radio Azteca, "The Station That Lifts And Separates". I wonder if he's doing ok? I loved those shows. Radio Azteca will always be one of my top two or three favorite pirate stations.

Huh? / Al, we both know that SDR's are Satan's scanners.....
« on: July 04, 2017, 0056 UTC »
but the new Bonito's come with an optional bottom lit high quality tuning knob that plugs in to a USB port. Is the Devil trying to tempt us or have SDR manufacturers come to their senses and listened to the will of the people?

I suggest buying them all up and sending them to the Vatican to be exorcised. They could be a bigger menace than Quija boards if we don't take precautions.
